Medical treatment 

Hello everyone, Little Harvey was born on 13/09/2018 and has had a rough start to life. (Story below). Morgan and Conor (Mum and Dad) are both amazing people and it would be great if we could support them during this rough time. This time will be financially difficult for them living away from home as they will have parking fees, fuel costs, medication costs, living expenses etc. They have given permission for this page to be made. So please help out, no donation is too big or too small.  Harvey has been in the paediatric ward for several days now and it has been found that Harvey has a defect in the formation his pituitary gland. Whether it is a full or partial defect is yet to be confirmed. Harvey be getting transferred to Lady Cilento hospital in the next couple of days where he will undergo an MRI, see endocrine specialists, liver specialists and eye doctors, undergo more tests and monitoring. He is currently on steroids 3 times a day which he will continue on for the rest of his life. His pituitary gland is not able to release the hormones that his body needs to function properly which is why he has developed jaundice, low blood sugars and is not gaining weight. He is most likely also going to permanently be put on thyroid medication and growth hormones. It is working out the correct dosages of these medications that will require monitoring until we have the right balance. Poor little Harvey has had daily blood tests, as many as 10 viles of blood taken in one sitting.. He was 6 weeks old on Thursday. Harvey and his Mum Morgan and Dad Conor will be in Brisbane long term at this stage which is going to be very tough for them as a family as only one parent is able to stay in the hospital with him. Possible Ronald McDonald house accomodation will be organised by the hospital but they won’t know until they get there.
