 I was a public health worker and a health care worker. Now I can't work and I'm struggling to get by. My health care team believes I have dysautonomia, which leaves me dizzy and unable to function for much of the day. I have been trying to get on disability, but it is unlikely to be approved without more extensive medical testing, which is delayed by a year or more in my area. Asking for help so that my partner (who is disabled) and I can stay afloat. I'm trying to find a job that I can do, but it's a slow process. Anything helps. Thank you.

<div>Leon Tsosie passed away suddenly on January 10, 2023. Leon was a talented, kind, fun-loving young man whose passing shocked his family and friends. He loved music, drawing, and skateboarding but most of all he loved his family. His family needs financial assistance to cover funeral expenses. Please understand that the family will not be able to lay Leon to rest until the cost of the funeral is paid in full to the funeral home. She was going to join us in January but due to an unforeseen tragedy A'Lena Kaye and her mother Hollie Faye Henderson are now in heaven. It is a nightmare that Akkean Johnson, the widower, is facing that none of us could ever begin to imagine. Hollie Faye and A'Lena Kaye meant the world to Akkean. A'Lena Kaye was 7 mos in the womb. We just want to support him as much as we can. Given the circumstances, donations will go towards Kansas Suicide Prevention Resource Center, American Cancer Society, therapy, funeral, moving out of existing home, and any other related expenses. We want A'Lena Kaye and Hollie Faye to be honored in the best possible way and are grateful for all contributions.

Our baby boy light is a 3 year old brown tabby. He has been sick the last few days so we took him to the vet today only to find out he has a major blockage inside of his intestines. He needs emergency surgery if he is going to survive. We have some money saved but not enough to pay for the entire operation. Please help us save our boy light. If you have visited Whiskers Cat Cafe you know we are all about the cats. Everything we do is designed around the health and happiness of our resident cats and our 20+ adoptable cats. Our mission is to provide homeless cats with the best possible life while they are here and then match them with their best possible forever home. In that time, we have matched 275 cats with adopters. Our unique matchmaking process is changing the way people adopt cats and giving people the opportunity to adopt a cat who completes their family. Whiskers Cat Cafe Support Fund -COVID-19

Many of you probably know that since graduating with my master's degree in public health, I have been dealing with an undiagnosed illness. I have been in the hospital 5 separate times after being previously healthy. I have struggled with repetitive opportunistic infections, anemia, blood clots, and intermittent electrolyte disturbances. I had to leave a disaster response program I loved. The illness has also taken a huge toll on my mental health, relationships, and financial well being. As someone who is trying to start a professional career, this is incredibly difficult timing. Luckily I was able to find a job as an epidemiologist that I enjoy. They are also understanding of my health issues, and the job no longer involves using a chainsaw or hiking up mountains! However, after many specialists visits I am still no closer to an answer. Hospital visits are becoming more frequent, and it has become increasingly difficult to work full time. The health issues really started to become overwhelming after falling ill on my return home from a month of service responding to the Camp Fire in Paradise, Ca. I served as public health liaison for the shelter there running medical supplies, scheduling nurses, and helping with norovirus and influenza surveillance. This is when I was first treated for a systemic fungal infection. Things have spiraled since then, and now I feel like I have a new symptom every week. While doctor's all agree none of these things should be happening in an otherwise healthy person, no one has been able to put it together. I have felt lost and frustrated jumping from specialist to specialist. I hate to ask for money, especially after a few people so graciously donated to fund my service year, but I have been offered an opportunity I cannot pass up. Cleveland Clinic National Consultation has accepted my case. They have scheduled visits with a number of specialties for the week of Feb. 10th through Feb. 14th. Unfortunately this means plane tickets, lodging, and leave without pay from work as I have not been in my position long enough to qualify for FMLA or to build up leave. It also comes after a year of service where I was not making money and my family has dealt with their own major financial and health struggles. This trip will require many upfront copays, deposits, and will cost much more in terms of travel and inability to work. Unfortunately, I still plan to file for bankruptcy. I still have an insane amount of medical debt that has been accrued this past year that I couldn't possibly ask my friends and family to cover. However, this fund will help my mom and I get to Cleveland where I hope I will get an answer, or at least advice about managing my illness. This way, I can prevent infections and stay out of the hospital! The trip will require upfront costs I am not able to afford. Being so young, I really need to figure this out sooner which is why this program is so great (see more information below).  It is hard to go from someone who never visited the doctor to someone trying to navigate weekly appointments in a broken system. It is somewhat ironic, because I always wanted to study diseases. I like puzzles which is why I became an Epidemiologist. The healthcare system has always fascinated me.... but I never expected to become the puzzle. At first I was intrigued, but no longer. I am extremely tired. You are giving me hope, that maybe this will end. I will also provide updates to those interested! It has now become a strong desire of mine to use my degree and experiences to help those in similar situations in the future.
