 If you’ve ever loved a dog, you know they’re never “just a pet.” They are family. They’re the ones who are always there to greet you on your best and worst days, make you laugh, and love you unconditionally.

 Our sweet &amp; spicy 5-year-old Chihuahua, Tino (aka T, Tini, beano, sweet T, Mr. Man, Valentino, the list goes on..) has been exactly that for us. He’s the happiest little boy with the biggest personality.
</div>

 You can count on him to always greet you at the door with a ‘baby’ and will wiggle his butt out of control for the next 30+ minutes because he can’t quite contain his excitement to see you. He loves to hold hands and go for a ride in the car to ‘Dunkies’. He loves to watch tv &amp; FaceTime his Gram. He loves to snuggle &amp; play with his sister, Pippa. He loves his guinea pig brothers &amp; gives them a gentle kiss on their noses. He gets excited over practically everything. He loves life. He has brought so much love and joy into our lives and makes us appreciate the little things. We truly cannot imagine our lives without him and the light he brings us.

 Our world was just turned upside down when Tino was diagnosed with a brain tumor after experiencing seizures.
</div>

 After meeting with his neurologist, we know that radiation therapy offers the best opportunity to slow, shrink or stop the tumor’s progression and give us more time together.
</div>

 We don’t know how long the tumor has been there or if it’s slow growing, or aggressive. Time is of the essence in ensuring his best outcome.
</div>

 Unfortunately, this life-saving treatment comes with an overwhelming cost that is beyond what we can manage on our own. As people who never ask for help, this is incredibly hard for us to do. But this is not just for us, it’s for Tino.

 We’re asking for help to cover the cost of Tino’s radiation treatments and the many medical expenses that come with fighting this diagnosis. <div>If you haven’t seen it on the news, Juiz de Fora, my hometown in Brazil, and the surrounding areas have been suffering from devastating rainfall and flooding.

<div>Many people have lost everything because of the flooding and landslides! There are many deaths, people missing, and the rescue missions are ongoing!

<div>I still have family and friends there, and seeing everything from afar is heartbreaking! People need potable water, food, hygiene products, cleaning products and tools, clothes, etc!

<div>I decided to create this fundraiser after I had many people reach out to me directly, asking how they could help! I’ll be transferring all of the funds to a trusted source and will post updates on how these funds are being used to help the families in need!

Flood Relief for Juiz de Fora and Nearby Communities

<div>On September 19, the Torres family’s world was turned upside down. At 29 weeks pregnant, Cassie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Things have moved quickly and she has already started her treatment with chemotherapy. The current treatment plan includes chemotherapy, delivering baby #2 four weeks early, more chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. The road ahead is long for her, her husband, Alex, and their 4 year old son.

<div>Cassie and Alex are full-time photographers, focusing primarily on weddings. The nature of wedding photography involves booking months in advance; with the current treatment plan, they can't in good faith take on any new bookings at this time. Wedding photography is also a very physical job, so Cassie is unsure of when she will be able to regularly return to work. Alex will also be taking a leave from his commercial portrait business to focus on his full-time role as caretaker, father, and husband when baby #2 arrives.

<div>Since neither Cassie nor Alex will be able to work consistently, they are in need of financial support for living expenses and bills for their soon-to-be family of four for the foreseeable future. Their focus in the coming year will be on Cassie's healing, being present for their oldest son, and caring for their newborn. With the uncertainties and difficulties ahead, having the financial freedom to focus on the list above will give great comfort, healing, and rest to their family.
