Hello, my name is Gus, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help during
the most painful season of my life.
Recently, my wife was deported back to Honduras during an ICE raid. Everything
happened so fast that I never even got the chance to properly see her, hold her, or
say goodbye before she was taken into custody and sent away.
Since then, life has felt empty.
What was originally expected to take 10 years to bring her back legally may now be
reduced to 5 years after speaking with immigration lawyers, but beginning that
process requires $10,000 in legal fees and filing costs just to get started.
Right now, that amount is simply beyond what I can afford on my own.
The funds raised will go directly toward:
• immigration lawyer fees
• legal filing expenses
• documentation and case preparation
• travel costs so I can visit my wife in Honduras
• emergency support while we are separated
More than anything, I’m trying to raise enough money to start the legal process to
reunite our family and also make a trip to see her, because I was never given the
chance before she was taken away.
Being separated from the person you love without warning is heartbreaking, Being separated from the person you love without warning is heartbreaking, and every
day apart feels longer than the last.
I’m humbly asking for any support you can give. Every donation, no matter how
small, helps bring us one step closer to being together again.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Your support,
prayers, and kindness mean more than words can express.
Thank you for helping me fight for my wife, our future, and the chance to be together again.
