<div>My name is JT Torres and I am helping raise funds to help my dear colleage and friend, Robert Frank. Just like many, Robert Frank and his partner, Gino Graziano lost their home in the Eaton Fire. They have resided in Altadena for the past 15 years. The loss has been a burden to their finances. Please consider helping them rebuild their lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve set a goal of $25,000 to help Robert and Gino get back on their feet. These funds will go toward:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Temporary housing and basic necessities like food and clothing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Securing a new place to live and replacing essential belongings.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any help or even a share is much appreciated.
</div>

Robert and Gino's Home Lost in Eaton Fire

<div>Christine and John Adolph and their two young children lost everything when the Eaton Fire burned their home in Altadena earlier this week. Everyone is safe (including their two dogs), but they're still trying to figure out their next steps. Let's help ease their burden...

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>All money raised through this GoFundMe will go directly to Christine and John to use as they see fit.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We (Skye Rohde and Gretchen McNeil) have been friends with Christine since 2018. We love her -- and the rest of her crew -- and we want to support them in the way that is most useful to them right now.

Help Christine and John Recover After the Eaton Fire

<div>My name is Meredith and while I am currently safe and still have a home in Los Angeles, with the wildfires still burning, tragically many are not safe and/or are suddenly homeless . I created this for my friend <strong>Susan Doepner-Senac, her husband Hermann and their two cats Peewee and Pickles</strong>, who lost EVERYTHING but their lives in the <strong>EATON FIRE</strong> in the Los Angeles County suburb of Altadena.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Susan is an independent wardrobe designer for the entertainment industry. We have worked together on countless “Wrong” movies for Lifetime Network and most recently the Christmas movies “The Merry Gentlemen” and “Make or Bake Christmas” and the upcoming war drama “The Plastic Men.” Her priceless wardrobe collection, which she uses for work, including vintage pieces from 30 years of designing, is ALL GONE. Herman is a musician, a drummer, and needless to say, his drums are GONE but also destroyed is his vinyl collection from over 40 years, approximately 3000 albums.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>All money will go towards getting them set up with a place to live and getting Susan back to work she loves and is amazing at.</strong>

Aid for Susan & Hermann: Eaton Fire Recovery Los Angeles

<div>Hi, my name is Marie and I am setting up this GoFundMe for my friend and former teacher, Darrell Walters, who really needs our support right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Darrell has been recently diagnosed with cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of you know Darrell as he served as the director of the Photography and Media Facilities at CalArts for more than a quarter of a century, and was Technical Faculty in the School of Art Program in Photography. He also taught "New Lab" to countless BFA 1 Photography Program students.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In August, Darrell contracted pneumonia, and after a PET and CT scan, a mass was found in his lungs. There have been many visits to his PCP, Pulmonologists, Surgeons, multiple Oncologists, and two biopsies, that all seemed to be inconclusive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In early January, Darrell was once again admitted to the hospital with incapacitating back pain and the diagnosis became clearer. They found cancer in his liver.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The treatment plan, as of now, is radiation therapy. Darrell has an appointment on February 12, 2024 another PET and CT scan which will reveal more and I will update as we learn what's next.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anyone who has the privilege of knowing Darrell, understands he is a gifted educator, mentor and an incredible friend who left behind an adoring community of students, friends and chosen family when he relocated to Galveston, Texas in 2021. As those who love him will attest, few people have his moral compass and ability to show up 110%.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Acts of service are his love language. He served as the Photography and Media facilitator for Community Art Partnership (CAP), and developed and created a Federal Work-study program. Darrell has also logged more than 1,750 volunteer hours with the Antelope Valley Indian State Historic Park Museum and facilitated community outreach programs across the Antelope Valley. Since 2022 Darrell has been volunteering at The Bryan Museum in Galveston, Texas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The numerous medical complications and procedures he has recently endured have caused many financial hardships and taken a toll on his physical well-being.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any financial help for his ongoing diagnosis and upcoming radiation treatment would be tremendously appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s now our turn to help a man who has always been there for us! The medical bills have been mounting and will continue to come in steadily. Darrell cannot work at this time and needs to focus on rest, healing, and being with his tightly knit family in Texas. Let's try and alleviate the financial stress that comes with this already difficult situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Endless gratitude for any help, big or small.
</div>

Support Darrell Walters’ fight against cancer

<div>Theo is the best boy. No, really. He is a puffy cloud of love in the world… a walking hug. He is the most incredibly sweet dog I have ever known. On Sunday, 6/25, he was out for a walk when he was attacked by another dog that was off leash, resulting in serious injuries and a pretty big (and obviously unexpected) vet bill.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks in advance for any contribution you are able to make to help us cover these expenses and still pay rent this month. We feel lucky he survived this attack. He is such a core, central part of our family, and we would all be devastated if we suddenly lost him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds will be used to cover his veterinary expenses and general cost of his care to recover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The details of what happened to Theo and his treatment: Theo was on a leash (of course) with his dad on a regular walk (which happened to be during the Pride March in Greenwich Village). As they walked past an outdoor table at a restaurant, an off-leash dog jumped out from under the table and attacked Theo without provocation. Without giving brutal details, it was bad and took five adults to get the other dog to let Theo go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the emergency vet's office, Theo had to have an immediate surgery under general anesthesia to assess the damage, clean and close the neck wounds, and place a wound drain. He has multiple puncture wounds as well as a tear that went all the way through the muscle tissue. His skin was also torn apart from the muscle, leaving an air pocket. He got many stitches internally and externally. He is now recovering at home on various medications (pain meds/sedation and antibiotics). Since he made it through the surgery okay, his biggest risk now is possible infection. He will have additional vet visits to assess the wounds, check the drain, eventually remove the drain (if all goes well) and to remove the external stitches. So far, he seems to be doing really well recovering and will have a minimum two weeks of doggy bed rest and healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Again, thank you for caring about Theo and about our family. It is difficult to adequately describe what a sweet and loving dog Theo is. Thank you from
</div>
<div>the bottoms of all of our hearts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>

Help Cover Theo’s Treatment Expenses

<div>Let’s help Ozzy and Kacey reach the goal for vet bills!!!!! Fur family is still family!!

<div>a message from Ozzys mom, Kacey Barnes!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ozzy Update:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ozzy saw the oncologist today. They scheduled an emergency visit because Lymphoma is agessive and spreads rapidly. He has two new lumps and needed to be seen immediately.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We were told that with a combination of chemotherapy and Chinese herbs that the success rate of remission and a good quality of life for 1-2 years was very high. Chemotherapy does not affect dogs the same way it affects people, so he would be pretty much his normal self.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The downside is that the chemo will cost almost $9000 and needs to be started within the next week or so…..
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Without treatment his life expectancy is a month at most and with just steroid treatment (which we started today) around 2 months.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don’t even remember the drive home…I’m feeling pretty devastated right now and feel like I don’t even have the time to try to process anything. I hate that money is the determining factor of whether I lose my dog abruptly or can get him treatment and enjoy at least another year or two with him. He is only 7, so this is hitting me pretty hard.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know it’s never a given, but I guess I thought I would have a little more time with him. This all happened so suddenly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m sorry…I’m just at a loss for words right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please keep us in your thoughts and if you have been through this, please reach out with any perspective you have. ❤️
</div>

Ozzy needs our help!

<p>Spring is just around the corner and things are looking up, right? And then something like this happens...<br />   Our little sweet Chive is having some serious health issues. We recently noticed some dark, stained fur on his back legs and around his tail. A vet exam and an X-Ray later, it turns out that he has a large calcified bladder stone. Like a kidney stone; less painful but serious nonetheless. Sad to report that the only solution is surgery to remove it.<br /><br />    Bunny surgery is a last resort type of thing and expensive, but the only alternative is to put him to sleep and it’s hard to contemplate such a thing. :(<br /><br />    In normal times this would not be an issue, but since I have not worked in 11 months, unfortunately it is. I know many of you are in the same situation and I totally understand that.<br />     But for those of you that might be able to give something, no amount is too small. Chive and I would gratefully appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.<br /><br />Thank you and wishing health to all this year!

As some of you know our landlord is selling the house we currently rent. We found a great apartment and we got the apartment! But because we have no credit history we have to pay two months rent as a security deposit. We are just looking for a little help so we don’t wind up living in our car. Anything can and will help!

Pedro Dominguez, one of the dearest men I have ever met, has been diagnosed with cancer and the current prognosis is not good. He has been undergoing treatment which has been difficult enough but he was recently hospitalized due to blood clots around the mass in his neck. Needless to say he has been unable to work and his family has been pitching in as best they can to cover for him in his family's cleaning business; many of them in essence working two jobs to keep the family afloat. <br /><br />The family is working overtime to maintain the income they do have, barely, but this does not cover the extra expense involved with cancer treatments and hospital stays. <br /><br />Won't you please consider pitching in to help during this time of need? The stress that Pedro is feeling about his family staying afloat cannot be good for his health. Knowing that they can breathe just a little bit and that at least some of his medical bills are covered will help him concentrate on his body and his health. <br /><br />I have known this wonderful man for 17 years. He has always been a bright light in my life. His daughter Angelica works with me and is just as much of a bright light, even while working during the day as an administrative professional for my company Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc., AND cleaning offices at night. <br /><br />I know in my heart I am not the only one who wants to pitch in and help in some way. Will you join me?<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/29797786_15259915430_r.jpeg" alt="29797786_15259915430_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />

Comrades were attacked by neo-Nazis yesterday in an act of terrorism in Charlottesville, Virginia. Please donate what you can to help cover the cost of their medical expenses, trauma counseling and support their needs.<br /><br />Two DSA members were injured and have since been discharged from the hospital. These funds will be used to cover the medical expenses of all injured in the attack, regardless of their membership or affiliation with DSA. Currently 19 people are reported as injured overall in the attack and tragically, at least one person has died (It has not been confirmed that comrade from the Industrial Workers of the World was killed)<br /><br />We must mourn for the dead as we fight like hell for the living. <br /><br />Please share this page with others!<br /><br /><br />Solidarity

Medical fund for Comrades in Cville

<br />Our good friend, Sean Barger, has very recently been diagnosed with very aggressive and advanced cancer that has already spread to his bones, back and lymph nodes, also the cancer has caused his kidneys to fail and are now are under ongoing treatment. He has been in and out of the hospital for the last couple of weeks and will need much more treatment going forward. Sean has fallen very ill with this cancer rather suddenly and is currently battling the red tape of the American health care system as well as beginning treatment at County USC. Sean is in severe pain and very sick and needs constant care so we would like to raise funds to ease some of the suffering. We'd like to raise money for special treatment, the opportunity to see alternative oncologists, medications, homeopathic treatment, natural whole raw foods, alternative and proven treatments and finally for household expenses like rent etc. Sean is unable to work as a result of his illness. We hope that his extensive network of friends can contribute money to ease his burden. Cancer is very expensive to fight in the right ways and we want to make sure that Sean has a fighting chance. No amount is too small to help.<br /><br />Please help spread the word!<br />Thank You
