Hazem Hussein

Yassine Hussein is a 13-year-old judoka from Saskatoon and a member of the Saskatoon Judo Club. His passion, discipline, and determination have taken him from local competitions to the national stage. Over the past two seasons, Yassine has achieved remarkable results, including gold medals at the Ontario Open, Sask Open, Edmonton International, Alberta Provincials, and other major tournaments. He has also represented Saskatchewan at national and international-level competitions and was recognized as Judo Saskatchewan’s U14 Male Athlete of the Year for 2025/26, his second consecutive U14 Athlete of the Year recognition. Now, Yassine is entering another important season, with competitions including the Ontario Open, Quebec Open, Sask Open, Edmonton International, Pacific International, and Canadian Nationals.
