In the last two years, I have lost everything I worked for. After fifteen years at the same company, my diabetes caused the bones in my foot to collapse, leaving me unable to walk correctly. One foot has an arch and the other doesn't, so I'm completely off balance. I lost my job, my house, and my ability to support my family. I've gone almost two years now without a paycheck or any assistance from the government.
When I sold my house, I was left with a small amount after paying all the bills, which was supposed to last until my disability kicked in. But about three weeks before Christmas this past year, my bank account was seized by Goldman and Sachs. Because I joined American Debt Institute and couldn't pay them anymore, all my debt collectors came at me at once. They released a small amount back to me, but it was after the new year, so my kids had Christmas with no gifts at all. The last thing I was able to pay for was my cat's bill to put her to sleep.
These funds will go directly to housing, as I am currently homeless. I won't have to steal food from stores because I don't have a single dollar to pay for food. It's impossible to go two years without a paycheck and still have anything, but that's the way our government is set up. If you're able to help, it would mean the world to me. We've all been down before, but I never thought I'd hit rock bottom this hard and fast. The only way is up for me, and I won't let this define me. Evil won't win. God bless our troops, God bless America, and God bless you. Have a blessed day.
