Leonard Norman Barro

Hi my name is Leonard Norman Barro, I am 40 years old with a family of three (with a 15 months old Boy). Side story, we have waited for 2 decade to have a child, and then Bouie was born on August of 2024. Everyone was happy until March of 2025 I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic Kidney Cancer. I was stunned but life must go on. An immunotherapy treatment was set on April 2025, I should have 11 sessions in the span of 3 months. But then it was stopped because my private insurance wouldn’t cover the medication itself. My student visa was expiring on May 2025, so I ask my employer to sponsor me a visa that would extend my stay here in Australia in the hope of getting the medication that I need. Roll down, I got a bridging for another visa, but yet still the same medication is still not covered. I live in Warrnambool, like most of the migrants I also seek the Australian dreams. But I think we need to let go of that dream for the moment and go home. Right now we are asking for help financially because I coudn’t work anymone because the cancer have metastasized to my back bone that could possibly make me cripple if I lift heavy object, I have no work since 17th of November and I have use all of my leave.
