Karry Birnley

My name is Karry “Kare Bear” Birnley, and I am a newish Gold Star Widow. My husband Gm1/OS1 Darrel Birnley was an active duty, Petty Officer 1st Class, in the United States Navy and was supposed to retire in February of 2024, but he unexpectedly passed away, May of 2023. Just 3 weeks after coming home to start preparing for retirement. Things have been torturously difficult ever since. Absolutely one thing after another. The most recent being PennyMac wrongfully going through with the foreclosure of our family home. Thankfully, after much pushback from social media, and me doing all I was required to do (with proof), the foreclosure was rescinded. Unfortunately, after all the fees for everything, including a lawyer, fell on me to pay along with everything else, the savings are all gone. Property taxes are almost due, and now it’s on me to figure this next obstacle out. That being said, after several people have asked if I have a GoFundMe started for myself, and, more recently, an uncomfortable offer from a complete stranger to start one for me, I’ve gone ahead and created this. I am in no way asking or expecting anyone to give me anything. This is truly just here for anyone that feels compelled to ease my situation in the safest possible way for everyone.
