Shari spent the last two years living in Florida with her partner, building a life together and hoping for a bright future. Suddenly, her partner ended the relationship without warning, leaving Shari with no choice but to move back home to Illinois. The abrupt change has been emotionally and financially challenging, and she is now facing difficulties with her mortgage and personal debt. <div>Dear Facebook friends and personal friends, as difficult as it is to ask for help, I am asking. My nephew has unexpectedly fallen into a difficult situation. He is a single dad of a 15 yr old boy. Four years ago his wife died suddenly and unexpectedly. His mother in-law moved in to comfort and assist. He was struggling to survive without the love of his life and finally decided he needed to live closer to family. So he relocated to NC with his son and mother in-law. He found housing right away and began looking for work. He is a hard worker and has always provided for his family. A few nights ago he had a seizure that almost took his life. He spent 3 days in ICU and now has a long road to recovery. As a family we have all pulled together to make sure his family gets moved into the rental he found for them. We have come up with deposits for utilities and covered other cost but have nearly exhausted our resources.

<div>Hello everyone. I am Megan's mom, Kelly, and I am starting a Go Fund Me at the urging of many people who would like to help. So, let me tell you a little about Megan....

<div>Megan got sick with a virus at the beginning of July which supsequently postponed her RAI treatment for thyroid cancer she was to recieve mid July. Due to her extremely low WBC her oncologst was consulted and tests run. All bloodwork looked good but after a few weeks there was no improvement in her numbers so a bone marrow biopsy was done. Megan had already been off work and pretty much quarantined to avoid exposure to any other illness due to her extremely low WBC. Megan's Dad had flown down to help Megan drive home to Michigan and relax for a week with family. They had just started the trip when the oncologist called and gave Megan news we were not expecting. Megan was diagnosed with leukemia. They thought from the biopsy it may be a type of leukemia referred to as Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL). Additonal testing would be done to confirm. Meanwhile she was instructed to turn around and get to MUSC in Charleston immediately to begin treatment.

<div>From that point on it has been a whirlwind of activity including a secondary bone marrow biopsy to confirm, CT scan, heart echo and EKG's, PICC line placement and the beginning of ther treatment. This type of leukemia has a 95% or better cure rate with the current treatment and for that we are grateful. The sheer amount of medicine she is on currently is hard to comprehend and it comes with side effects such as nausea and headaches that she is battling daily. The care team here is excellent and working diligently to get that all under control. Her estimated treatment time here in the hospital is 5-7 weeks with outpatient for up to two years.

This platform allows us to get the financial help Megan and Andrew will need during this time. Megan is being cared for two hours from her home and there is a vast amount of expenes in additon to not being able to work.

Help Megan fight Leukemia

Ms.Diana is the neighborhood sweetheart. She is 68 yrs old and retired from AT&amp;T. She is known to walk up and down 74th Ave, greeting everyone, rearranging and putting away garbage and garbage cans, feeding the abandoned cats, babysitting pets, keeping an eye on crime watch and always lending a hand to help. <br />While at the hospital attending to an ill friend her home went up in flames. With her adult son and 15 year old dog. When she arrived her son had safety gotten out, but unfortunately her four legged love perished due to smoke inhalation. <br />Without insurance or family she has no where else to go. She needs our help....please. She has dedicated herself to helping others and kept our neighborhood safe.
