I am asking for help for my daughter and her family after a devastating fire damaged their home and left them homeless. On Friday, August 28, 2026, her neighbor's (that lived two doors down) house caught on fire at 2:25 in the morning. Her family was woken up by the smoke alarms. They were able to get out of the house in time. The firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly. This fire has caused damaged to my daughter's home and five other homes. This has been an overwhelming and heartbreaking time as they try to cope with the loss, find stability, and figure out what comes next. Now they are facing the difficult task of rebuilding their daily lives from the ground up. The support from this fundraiser will help my daughter and her family secure a new home and begin replacing the basic things they need, including furniture, food, and clothing. El viernes 28 de agosto de 2026, a las 2:25 de la madrugada, se incendió la casa de un vecino que vivía dos puertas más allá. Las alarmas de humo despertaron a la familia, que logró salir de la casa a tiempo. Los bomberos consiguieron extinguir el incendio rápidamente. El fuego causó daños en la vivienda de mi hija y en otras cinco casas. Ha sido una etapa abrumadora y desgarradora mientras intentan sobrellevar la pérdida, recuperar la estabilidad y decidir qué pasos seguir. Ahora se enfrentan a la difícil tarea de reconstruir su vida cotidiana desde cero.
