Hi, My name is Linda. I am 72 years old and recently widowed which left me with a need to bring in an income to support myself. I’ve spent my life caring for animals, creating small pockets of peace wherever I could, and now I’m trying to build a homestead and apiary that reflects that same love. This retreat is more than a project — it’s a place of healing for me, for my animals, and for anyone who needs a moment of calm in a noisy world. I’m doing everything I can on my own, but I’m asking for a little help to keep this dream moving forward. I have decided to continue with the homestead lifestyle that I had before my husband passed away which included gardening and critters such as chickens and rabbits, my dogs, and now I have started a beekeeping journey and a future BnB. My desire is to renovate two rooms in my little chalet for a Bed & Breakfast with a farm stay type experience where guests can walk the trail on my property and visit my gardens, pets, and bees. I would like to continue caring for my animals and expand my apiary so I can eventually offer honey and related products for sale, and buy a vehicle to help me get into town to pick up supplies for my homestead. My hope is to some day be able to occasionally offer one of my rooms to people in need who may not be able to afford a place to stay if they are visiting loved ones in the hospital or just need emergency accommodations. I am a hard worker and I know I can make my dream come true.
