This matters to me because I’ve seen how a safe creative space can help kids speak, heal, and feel less alone. This tent lets me bring that magic back: art, safety, and hope for my community.

This fundraiser was inspired by a moment I will never forget. When I first launched my business, I set up a tent cabin in my front yard with art supplies, and some neighborhood girls came over to help me build and create. While we were setting up, one of the girls asked me if I had ever been abused. I answered honestly: yes. I did not push for more. I just made space and kept creating with them. A week later, that child found the courage to speak up about abuse she was experiencing. That moment showed me that this was never just a tent. It was a safe little world. A place where children could ask real questions, see a survivor still making beauty, and feel brave enough to tell the truth. That is why I am raising money for this pop-up tent. Stamps & Strains is about art, healing, safety, and community. Having this new pop-up tent will allow me to bring Stamps & Strains art therapy sessions back into the community in a safe, visible, and welcoming way. The tent gives us a real mobile home base. It creates shade, shelter, structure, and a sense of magic—a place where people immediately feel invited to slow down, sit together, and create. Without the tent, the sessions are just supplies on a table. With the tent, it becomes an experience: a healing cabin, a neighborhood art studio, and a calm creative space that can travel. This will help me expand beyond one location and reach more children, seniors, artists, and neighbors. The tent also helps make the sessions safer and more organized, giving us a defined area for supplies, seating, art-making, and supervision. For children especially, the tent matters because it feels like entering a special little world. Your support will help turn Stamps & Strains into a mobile community art space—one that can show up wherever it is needed.
