<div>Our son Theo passed away 10.01.24 after being diagnosed with RETT syndrome in September 23. After he was diagnosed, we were inpatients in Sheffield Children's Hospital as they were putting the snowflakes up for Christmas and I said "Theo needs a snowflake next year".

<div>Obviously I was hoping he would still be with us, but the fact that he isn't has made me even more determined. 
</div>
<div>For that reason I've decided to do a sponsored walk, I'll be walking from Sheffield to Bakewell in August this year to raise money to donate to the hospital and get Theo his snowflake! 
</div>
<div>As an unfit overweight 32 year old I'm absolutely terrified, but our little boy was a fighter, so I'm going to do the same! 
</div>

Theos Snowflake

<div>Birmingham City Foundation is calling for supporters to lace up their running shoes and represent Blues in this year’s Birmingham Great Run, to help fund its community engagement programmes.

<div>The Foundation will be covering the entry cost for the 10km run, as well as providing a limited-edition UNDEFEATED x Nike running vest for the first 200 supporters who reach £150 in donations on the Foundation’s GoFundMe page.

<div>Designed in Los Angeles and worn in Birmingham, the collaboration vests will not be available to anybody except Foundation Great Run participants, and will be distributed after the fundraising threshold has been met.
</div>

<div>The recently relaunched Birmingham City Foundation has already delivered one of the city’s biggest ever Christmas gifting campaigns, and has recently supplied more than 3,000 match tickets to underprivileged children. 
</div>

<div>Funds raised through the Great Run will go towards helping those most in need, especially the young. The Foundation provides training in the areas of education and skills, fitness and nutrition, all using the power of football to engage. They also strive to make football accessible for all and use the beautiful game to teach many valuable life lessons.

<div>With the cost-of-living crisis and Birmingham City Council facing severe financial difficulties never has the need been more pressing for our Club to step forward and shoulder some of the responsibility. Birmingham City are uniquely positioned to impact thousands of people within our community in a way that others can’t. That isn’t a boast – it’s a fact.

<div><strong>This year, Blues has partnered with the Birmingham Children's Trust to deliver a campaign the size of which has never been undertaken in the city. </strong>

<div>Many of the 11,000 children associated with the Children's Trust would be without a gift this Christmas. We don’t believe that is fair, so the Club consulted with Supporters Groups and we have decided that together we will seek to raise enough funds to buy gifts for all 11,000 children.
</div>

<div>The gifts chosen by the Children’s Trust are a teddy bear or water bottle for the younger children. The sad reality for many of the older children is that they live in houses with no heating, so the Trust has chosen a woolly hat or blanket, as keeping warm is often their priority.
</div>

<div>To think that many of the 11,000 children in the city would go without a gift this festive is season is heartbreaking, and something we don’t think the people of Birmingham will allow to happen.
</div>

<div>These gifts will be delivered on behalf of you – a supporter of Birmingham. Not the football club, the city. For every £3 donated by a supporter of the city, another child under the care of Birmingham Children’s Trust will be able to smile – or simply keep warm – this Christmas.
