<div>Hi
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are Mick Dolan, Steve Murphy, Eamon Hanlon, Mike Bagley and Geoff Byrne members of the Sausage Sarnie Cycling Club founded by our mate Peter Sullivan (Sully).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Peter sadly died earlier this year after a battle with cancer and is dearly missed by all his many friends and family.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During his illness Pete persuaded us to join him on his dream cycling challenge...Scotland's North Coast 500...a gruelling 525 mile (34,000 feet of climb) Tour of Scotland's North West Coast. Pete planned the route and booked the accommodation. We are aiming to complete the ride in honour our great friend.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the help of our support team, another two of Pete's close friends Paul Sanders &amp; Nick Lawler, we aim to complete the ride over 8 days, 31st May to 7th June - starting and ending in Inverness, taking in John o' Groats and the UK's steepest road the Bealach na Bà (Pass of the Cattle), the greatest ascent of any road climb in the UK, rising from sea level to over 2,050 feet in just 5.5 m, with gradients reaching 20+%!!!!!!!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Pete played for St Mary's Old Boys F.C. (SMOB) in Crosby and all the boys involved in this trip have an association with the team. SMOB often raises money for local charities . With this in mind we have decided to try and raise some money to support the charities supported by SMOBs, Cancer Research and Queenscourt Hospice in Southport. Pete loved how his local football team always tries to give back to its community and his family have supported Cancer UK and Queenscourt.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated by the boys, and will provide the motivation we need as we attempt to get up those hills...no doubt cursing Sully a few times as we go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support

The Sausage Sarnies CC Ride Sully's NC 500

<div>Our son Theo passed away 10.01.24 after being diagnosed with RETT syndrome in September 23. After he was diagnosed, we were inpatients in Sheffield Children's Hospital as they were putting the snowflakes up for Christmas and I said "Theo needs a snowflake next year".
</div>
<div>Obviously I was hoping he would still be with us, but the fact that he isn't has made me even more determined.
</div>
<div>For that reason I've decided to do a sponsored walk, I'll be walking from Sheffield to Bakewell in August this year to raise money to donate to the hospital and get Theo his snowflake!
</div>
<div>As an unfit overweight 32 year old I'm absolutely terrified, but our little boy was a fighter, so I'm going to do the same!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The smallest donation is greatly appreciated and if we're lucky enough to raise over the target that will also be donated!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading this far!

<div>Birmingham City Foundation is calling for supporters to lace up their running shoes and represent Blues in this year’s Birmingham Great Run, to help fund its community engagement programmes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Foundation will be covering the entry cost for the 10km run, as well as providing a limited-edition UNDEFEATED x Nike running vest for the first 200 supporters who reach £150 in donations on the Foundation’s GoFundMe page.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Designed in Los Angeles and worn in Birmingham, the collaboration vests will not be available to anybody except Foundation Great Run participants, and will be distributed after the fundraising threshold has been met.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The recently relaunched Birmingham City Foundation has already delivered one of the city’s biggest ever Christmas gifting campaigns, and has recently supplied more than 3,000 match tickets to underprivileged children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds raised through the Great Run will go towards helping those most in need, especially the young. The Foundation provides training in the areas of education and skills, fitness and nutrition, all using the power of football to engage. They also strive to make football accessible for all and use the beautiful game to teach many valuable life lessons.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the cost-of-living crisis and Birmingham City Council facing severe financial difficulties never has the need been more pressing for our Club to step forward and shoulder some of the responsibility. Birmingham City are uniquely positioned to impact thousands of people within our community in a way that others can’t. That isn’t a boast – it’s a fact.
</div>

Birmingham City Foundation @ Great Birmingham 10km

<div><strong>When Birmingham City Football Club came under new stewardship earlier in the year, the Club pledged to be a positive force for good in the community in which it operates.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>This year, Blues has partnered with the Birmingham Children's Trust to deliver a campaign the size of which has never been undertaken in the city. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of the 11,000 children associated with the Children's Trust would be without a gift this Christmas. We don’t believe that is fair, so the Club consulted with Supporters Groups and we have decided that together we will seek to raise enough funds to buy gifts for all 11,000 children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The gifts chosen by the Children’s Trust are a teddy bear or water bottle for the younger children. The sad reality for many of the older children is that they live in houses with no heating, so the Trust has chosen a woolly hat or blanket, as keeping warm is often their priority.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To think that many of the 11,000 children in the city would go without a gift this festive is season is heartbreaking, and something we don’t think the people of Birmingham will allow to happen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These gifts will be delivered on behalf of you – a supporter of Birmingham. Not the football club, the city. For every £3 donated by a supporter of the city, another child under the care of Birmingham Children’s Trust will be able to smile – or simply keep warm – this Christmas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help Birmingham City to help Birmingham city.
