Hi my name is Ralph, and I am reaching out because my family and I are facing a difficult time. On November 30, 2024, our home was destroyed by a fire. We lost everything — and although our house is not livable, we are still responsible for mortgage, rent, utilities, and insurance. We have started a GoFundMe campaign to help us rebuild and cover these expenses. Here is the link: [Your GoFundMe Link] I am the only income earner for my family of five, and our monthly costs are overwhelming right now. I’m kindly asking if your organization could: Consider sharing our campaign with your network Provide any resources or emergency relief support Offer advice on other funding programs or charities that support families recovering from disasters Any form of help or connection would mean a lot to us. Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I appreciate any support you can provide.
hi my name is Ralph, On November 30, 2024, our home was completely destroyed by a fire. In just one night, my family lost everything — our belongings, our stability, and the place we called home. We are a family of five, including a 10-year-old child, and I am the only source of income. Since the fire, we have been struggling every day to stay afloat. Even though the house is not livable, the city is still charging us ¾ of the utility bill — previously $168.50, now $139.50 — despite no usage at all. I am paying $248/month for insurance, a $1,200 mortgage, and $1,700 rent simultaneously, just to keep a roof over my family’s head until the home is rebuilt. The estimated completion date for the rebuild is March 2026, which means we still have a long road ahead. Unfortunately, the insurance does not cover the flooring. When the government turned the water back on in the duplex, additional damage occurred, and the contractor is charging an extra $5,000 — an amount I cannot afford. How the funds will be used: Cover rent until the home is rebuilt Pay for the $5,000 flooring cost not covered by insurance Keep up with mortgage and essential bills (utilities, insurance) Provide my family with a safe and stable place to live This fundraiser is important to me because I want to provide safety, stability, and hope for my family during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation — no matter the size — brings us one step closer to rebuilding our lives. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page also helps immensely. Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
