Kenny Crowe, my brother, spent years as an over-the-road truck driver, rarely making it home to see his family. One morning, he told his boss he was feeling unusually tired and strange. Tragically, Kenny suffered a stroke while driving, causing him to crash his semi into a tree. The accident started a fire, but thanks to a nearby witness who called for help, Kenny was rushed to the University of Wisconsin, where he suffered another stroke. Now, the left side of his body isn’t working as well as the right, and he faces a long road to recovery.
About four years ago, Kenny married his wife in the Philippines. Although they have only seen each other a few times, their love for each other is incredibly strong. Kenny has worked tirelessly to build a life and a home for them in the Philippines, hoping to create a paradise for their future together. Now, as he recovers, his wife wants nothing more than to care for him and help him heal, even though his home is really here in the States.
Kenny is a self-taught guitar player for over 20 years. Recently, he started taking online lessons to improve his skills, connecting with people around the world and raising his playing ability. He was doing really well and hoped to start teaching online classes, like on YouTube, to help others learn guitar. Not being able to play guitar is especially hard for him, but with the right physical therapy, there’s hope he can regain his ability to play and pursue his dream of teaching and inspiring others.
The money raised will help with medical bills, travel costs to the Philippines, and physical therapy. Thank you so much to anyone who has it in their heart to help or even takes a moment to pray for Kenny. People pulling together to help other people is always a powerful message of hope, and good still does exist. May God bless you in many ways.
