Hi, my name is Samira Albordaini and I am a teacher and here is some brief information about what this is about. I am from Palestine, specifically from the Gaza Strip. I hold a bachelor's degree in English. I own an educational center with a full teaching staff, and we work to teach Gazan children the core subjects: Arabic, English, mathematics, and science. Children in Gaza lack access to education more than anything else. We need monthly rent for the apartment where we house the educational center, as well as school supplies for the students and a daily meal to feed the children. Our goal is big but it would have worked with a little support just to keep the center running, so I pay rent for this and these days it is very expensive. I can hardly do anything myself. I like the children and want them to be able to continue their studies even though it has been tough and continues to be tough in the Gaza area. I would like to get help to be able to help the children study even in the tough times. The money will go towards new books, pencils, erasers, boards, chairs, tables and lots of other things that will make the children feel really comfortable with the center and if we get enough support we will renovate so that everything that makes them look back on the war will disappear from the children's minds. The idea is that they will feel safe and comfortable enough so that they can study with focus and get rid of the negative thoughts once they are here If this works, we will also show the entire process we will do based on how much help we will get and If you have any questions you would like to ask, we are happy to answer them.
