(24, she/they) i have been couch surfing for the past year since escaping an abusive and dangerous living situation. i'm struggling to find affordable housing in the GTA. i am currently unable to work most jobs due to my disabilities though i am trying to find a job I can do from home. i receive $600/month from Ontario Works and i'm waiting for my ODSP application to be approved. I will need all the help I can get to find secure housing. Any donations would go towards renting a room. If anyone has a room available for an affordable price (under $800) please let me know! I can provide references from multiple previous roommates. A few of my friends in Hamilton and Toronto are also looking for rooms, including a friend who is trying to flee an abusive living situation. My roomate's mom wants to move back into the apartment so she's kicking me out and I need to find a new place as soon as possible. I found a couch I can crash on for a little bit, but we will need to find a new place for September.
