hey hey! My name is Lizzie and I am creating this GoFundMe as a way to make sure my dad is cared for. He is 79 and a great human to be around. I am starting this Gofundme, asking for help to pay his rent. Overall, he is a lovely old dude to be around and his passions at 79 include taking walks with his dog Tucker and reading books. He is a Vietnam Veteran, and was stationed in Saigon as a dog handler during the war. The pictures that are shown on this Go Fund Me page are pictures of my dad during his time serving in Vietnam. I am aiming to pay my dad's rent for the next year. He lives with his friend in Indiana, near the Indiana Dunes. She has been sick (and was diagnosed with cancer). Making sure my dad is cared for is a top priority for me. I would like this GoFundme to be a support structure for my dad. If you feel called to donate to the cause and help a caring man out, I would appreciate it. My caring and compassionate father (who has a bodhisattva like heart), has decided to step into a full-time role of caring for his partner Kelly during her battle with cancer. This is not the first time Dad has decided to selflessly serve. Dad’s rent is $700 a month, so I’m hoping to raise $7,000 here to pay his rent. A bit of backstory about my dad: Dad is a Vietnam veteran, and he served in the war as a veterinary technician. He worked with German Shepherds in the war and working with animals has been a really big part of my dad’s life path and journey. He loves dogs and lives with his golden retriever in Indiana. Dad is great with animals - dogs, horses, etc. Dad is all around a lovely old guy to be around. He was a single working parent - a working single Dad. After his service, he had a very interesting career racing horses, and when he retired from racing horses he worked at the post office. Thank you for taking the time to read this. hi guys! This is my chocolate and dance fund. I am a dancer, pianist, and artist who lives in Portland, OR. My dad is getting older (he is close to 80) and at this present moment I am living out of my car because the cost of living is too high for me and I don't have a family I can fall back on to help. Dad is a veteran who served in the Vietnam War and he is a lovely human. At this specific moment in time, I am finding myself feeling really capable, healthy, very underemployed, and seeking to find ethical ways to create income for myself and pay bills. I have played the piano since I was 3 and I love to play the piano. My dance background is also a blessing and a field that I hope to find work in - the dance industry is the one place that I have felt the most resonance in. My other passions are the environment, environmentally conscious architecture, and music of all genres. This gofundme is to help me follow my dreams - it's my dance and chocolate fund. The money here will go towards helping me get my basic needs met (housing, food, gas). I am hoping that with enough stability I can have a piano performance for the folks that donate to this fund.
