<div>Hi! I’m Madi, one of Bradi’s best friends. I’m here to share a little glimpse into Bradi’s story in hopes that it can reach the right people to help give her some financial relief as she begins her second fight against Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer.

<div>Bradi was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer at the age of 24 in 2021. Yep, you read that right. Her daughter wasn’t even 2 years old. She had to go through 19 rounds of chemo, a full hysterectomy, months and months of hospital stays and finally came out triumphant in June of 2023. She was in “remission” (but shhh. We don’t speak the “r” word around here). After being in remission for 9 months, she went through a divorce and has had to work and scrounge up every dime she could to support her and her daughter.

<div>A few months ago, she was told that her cancer was back, literally a year after being told she was in remission. We always knew this would happen but we just hoped for more healthy time before she had to start this fight again. There is cancer in her lung, spleen and pelvis. She goes in for lung surgery on Thursday (10/17) and then will begin chemo (and lose her hair again) shortly after that.

<div>I’m going to spare you all the details of how terrible of cards she has been dealt but let me just say this….I've never known a woman with so much fight in her. But it’s a tender fight. She fights with grace. She fights with kindness. She fights with positivity. But she’s tired. Please help me to raise the money that she needs so she doesn’t have to worry about her financial responsibilities while simultaneously fighting for her life. All proceeds will go directly to Bradi to help her pay her copays and all medical bills/living expenses.

I can confidently speak for everyone who knew and loved my sister, Nicole Gee, that she was such a bright light to everyone she touched. Always focusing on positivity and motivating others to do their best. She was and always will be my greatest inspiration and motivation to be the best version on myself that I can be. I’ve always said she is the absolute light of my life and I would do anything for her, she was my first best friend, my partner in this crazy life, my absolute hero. There are no words that will express how much she will be missed.<br /> Her love for her husband and my brother in law, Jarod Gee, is unmatched. They had a bond like nothing I’ve ever seen and I’m so devastated  that he has lost the love of his life. She was everything to Jarod, the bright sun to his life. They are both Marines and have dedicated themselves to serving this country. <br /> She gave the ultimate sacrifice. We will forever be changed and forever hurt with her absences but I know she wouldn’t have had it any other way, she absolutely loved the work she was doing in Afghanistan and was excited to tell me more about it once she was back home… <br /> Family was the most important priority in Nicole’s life, she took every opportunity she was given to see family during times she could take leave. She was a huge part of my family’s daily life, my 2 year old son would ask to FaceTime his “TT Coley” often and it’s hard to wrap my head around the having to explain why we aren’t able to call her anymore. <br /> I will be using any money raised to help family and friends with flight tickets, food, and other travel expenses so that we all have a chance to say our final goodbyes. She touched so many in her short 23 years of life and I want everyone who wants to be given the opportunity to see her one last time before she is put to rest. Hello, everyone. Thank you so much for visiting this page. I'm Poppy's aunt, and biggest fan. <br /><br />A few months ago, Poppy suffered a traumatic dog attack that resulted in a life-threatening injury to her head and brain. What occurred immediately after is truly a miracle. Poppy fought for her life, and the incredible doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai operated on her and nursed her for the following three weeks. <br /><br />Since mid-September, Poppy has been under excellent care at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and is anticipated to remain inpatient until the Spring. She has undergone a series of neurosurgical and plastic surgery operations. The injury resulted in weakness to the right side of her body and neurologically, Poppy is having to relearn a number of skills so she participates in therapy on a daily basis. <br /><br />This week marks yet another plastic surgery operation. Following the initial recovery and another surgery in a few months, she will graduate from acute care to the inpatient rehab facility for intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Poppy continues to showcase her determination and will on a daily basis and she is well loved by all her doctors, nurses, and therapists. She has been coined the resident “Pop Star."<br /><br />We decided to start a fundraising page for Ali (my sister), Jim (my brother-in-law), and Poppy to help ease the thought of the future, which is largely unknown at this point. Poppy likely has another 3-6 months in the hospital and will need to have ongoing therapies and medical support to aid her immediate and long term recovery. <br /><br />Any contribution to Poppy's future would be humbly appreciated. We also ask that you to continue to pray for Poppy, Ali, and Jim. <div>The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital has been overwhelmed by the kindness, good wishes and support from the Australian and international community for the wildlife icon, the koala. 
</div>

<div>The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, and National Parks and Wildlife Service crew leaders, have spent weeks searching for koalas following the devastating bush fires in the Port Macquarie area. To date, 31 koalas have been brought to the hospital from several fire grounds.

<div>On admittance to the hospital, a koala is rehydrated and then the following day examined for burns which are treated with burns cream before they are bandaged. The dressings are changed every three days.

<div>Initially, the hospital’s aim was to raise money to purchase and distribute automatic drinking stations which will be installed in the burnt areas to help in koala and wildlife survival.

<div>The number of drinking stations being built has now been increased and they will be shared with other wildlife organisations in fire affected regions across New South Wales. Two are being built for dispatch to the northern rivers fire area next week.
</div>

<div>We are also purchasing a water carrying vehicle with fire fighting capabilities to replenish the drinking stations with water as needed. 
</div>

<div>Donations have now reached an incredible amount and we are extending the project to establish a wild koala breeding program.

<div>In what is a national tragedy, the bushfires in and around Port Macquarie in November, devastated a genetically diverse koala population. As many as 350 koalas have perished with approximately 75% of the fireground footprint being prime koala habitat.
</div>

<div>Some of the funds raised through the Go Fund Me site will be directed to building a ‘Koala Ark’, a facility to allow the surviving koalas to be accommodated in a healthy habitat area. Hopefully, these koalas will breed and a new population of koalas will be established for return to the wild.

Life expectancy is 2-5 years and paralysis comes much sooner.<br /><br /><strong>Why does it happen? </strong><br /><br />We are still at the infancy of understanding this disease and there <strong>has not</strong> been any definitive cause. Can some point to the game of football with claims of cause, sure. But reality is, all you will be doing is grasping for an answer. <br />An answer that will never come. <br />I know my brother, I know he is a fighter and know he will bite his lip and fight! <br />As he sits up in the doctors chair, he asked <strong>“How do I fight it?”</strong><br />That is where the nightmare takes hold. Because there is even less answers to this question than the one of cause. <br />As an athlete you want a game plan, as a firemen you want a protocol, as a human you want hope! But right now all I can do is look at him and pray. <br /><br />Pray that he will be spared. <br /><br />Pray that he will enjoy each day<br /><br />Pray that he will know I will love him through all this. <br /><br />Today, I have no answer to WHY it happens or WHAT to do, but I do have an answer for HOW you and I can help!<br /><br />According to HuffPost.com, “ALS is a very expensive disease, costing patients an estimated $300,000 a year. The majority of patients bankrupt their families with the costs, and an even larger number simply can’t afford the cost to <strong>stay alive</strong>, so they don’t. Alexis Amber was diagnosed in the fall of 2016 with a glioma brain tumor in the left temporal lobe. She received an operation that successfully removed most of the tumor and underwent chemo and radiation treatment. She continued to work as a lawyer until the summer of 2019 when her brain tumor began to grow again. <br /><br />Alexis is now facing a difficult recovery process as the tumor is impacting her day-to-day life in profound ways. Alexis’s medical team recommends that she receive a  special drug that can treat the mutation in her cancer. It has also become apparent that she needs home-care services to assist her in daily tasks. As home-care and the drug are not fully covered by insurance her family has set up this gofundme account as a way that monetary support can be provided for those two specific needs that will start immediately. <br /><br />Alexis and her family greatly appreciate your support and also thank you for respecting Alexis’s desire for privacy at this challenging time. Cory Iverson is a true hero to our Southern California community. He lost his life while fighting the Thomas Fires on 12/14. He leaves behind his best friend and devoted wife and a daughter with another little girl on the way. <br /><br />As people are asking how they can help, what we know is that they first need your prayers. Many have help spread the word looking for this mother and now the worst has come true. Ingrid left behind many that loved her, but most importantly her 3 daughters are now without a mother. Daughters of Ingrid Lyne

This past Saturday my good friend and roommate Dillon Connolly was in a terrible body surfing accident that resulted in a broken neck and partially severed spinal cord. Dillon was rushed to the emergency room and has remained in the ICU since the accident. <br /><br />Anyone who knows Dillon can attest to how genuinely kind and helpful he is to everyone he encounters, as well as how deeply he cares for everyone in his life. Beyond his caring nature, Dillon is an extremely accomplished athlete and all around very active person. He was the captain of USC's Swim team, USC record holder, and an Olympic Trial Qualifier. <br /><br />At this time I would like to encourage everyone to reciporicate Dillon's kindness through donations which will benefit the Connolly family and aid in Dillon's recovery and medical expenses. <br /><br />Thank you and God Bless!
