<div>My coworker, Kaitey Kerbs, was recently diagnosed with a leiomyona tumor that is fully wrapped around her esophagus. This was a very unexpected diagnosis that comes with an invasive surgery and extensive recovery period. I am starting this fund to help aid Kaitey with her medical expenses, bills, and ease the burden of having to be out of work for the 8-12 week recovery.

</div>

<div>

</div>

<div>Anyone who knows Kaitey knows that she is one of the most selfless people, always giving hope to others. I am hoping to give back some of the light she has brought to our lives during this difficult time.

<div>Hi, I'm Selin and this spring I have the opportunity to attend the 2025 18 inch Journey Phase 1 School in North Carolina led by Jonathan Helser, Melissa Helser, and the Cageless Birds. This will be a 65 day discipleship school of the heart for healing and drawing closer to Jesus. The 18 inch Journey is designed for deep transformation to help young adults bridge the gap between head knowledge of God to heart connection, while growing in identity, creativity, and intimacy with Jesus. This has been a big DREAM of mine for years, and I am so expectant for God to meet me and transform me in a powerful way. However, I’m in need of your support and would love to invite you to partner with me in the areas I need your help. I’m in need of financial support to cover the school tuition, onboarding, and meals. I need to raise $4,500 by March 3rd, 2025!
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>I’m also in need of people to pray for me as I embark on these 2 months of healing.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>I would be immensely grateful for your help, and I’m so excited for you to come along on this journey with me!

Help Fund Selin's 2025 18 Inch Journey Tuition

Hello Everyone!

This is my amazing daughter, Cove Phillips. She is a seven-year-old little girl, who has quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy. Over the years she has defied what doctors have said she was capable of and has made so much progress! Through various therapies, surgeries, school and hard work on her part, she has learned--and is continually learning!--how to move her body with intention, to weight bear (support her body), to coordinate her legs to take steps, to sit unassisted, to swallow foods and take sips of water, to communicate through eye gaze technological devices and to drive power wheelchairs. Cove is learning she has a voice and that she can create sounds. She is truly learning how to unlock her body through all these opportunities, and her confidence is soaring!

She is a sign and a wonder. As a mother I am so proud of her, and so are her friends, teachers, therapists and our family. We are blown away by what God has done in her life, and we're totally in awe of the community's support surrounding our family the past seven years. So many miracles! TODAY IS HER BIRTHDAY, and we’re excited to invite you all in to help us in Cove’s continued journey to wholeness this Fall.

We are launching this 2-month Go Fund Me campaign starting on Tuesday, August 24 (Cove’s 7th Birthday!) until Sunday, October 24th to raise $28,000 to cover the cost of several of Cove’s surgeries, therapies and physical needs. We'd be honored if you take a moment and read through the items below to learn more about Cove’s journey to wholeness and what your Go Fund Me donations are going toward:

1. Anat Baniel Method (ABM) of NeuroMovement Therapy in Asheville, NC for 6 months - $11,400

Cove has been receiving the Anat Baniel Method of NeuroMovement Therapy for about three years now and has had tremendous success with it. This therapy is founded in neuroscience and the biodynamics of the body and brain’s ability to change. Cove’s traumatic birth left her with brain damage and scarring that is over her motor cortex and cerebellum; these areas regulate voluntary motor function, balance, movement and communication between both sides of the brain. ABM therapy builds connections and creates new neuropathways in Cove's brain so she can learn her body and have a better internal perception of herself; this gives her more freedom of movement and awareness. We have seen a calmer system, improvement in swallowing, the ability for her to self-regulate, focus, grasp and release with her hands, roll to her stomach, healthier lung function, better sleeping patterns, reduction in her spasticity, her movements becoming easier and more clear, among other things. Isn't that amazing!?

This has been a vital part of Cove’s development, and our goal is for her to receive two intensive therapies per month for the next six months. We travel to Asheville, NC over the span of a long weekend to complete these therapies, so our expenses here include Airbnb costs, meals, and gas for the roadtrip.

2. Selective Percutaneous Myofascial Lengthening Surgery (SPML) - $13,950

In January 2021, Cove had Selective Percutaneous Myofascial Lengthening surgery. In short, this procedure allows for the spasticity in Cove's muscles to be released, and therefore lengthens her muscles. It’s done through small micro-incisions in the spastic muscle groups; for Cove this is her hamstrings, calves, heel chords, and hip adductors. It gives immediate release to those muscles that are, for the most part, always contracted; it has given her the ability to move more freely, be in less pain and have intentional movement. Now Cove has a greater chance to gain the ability to sit, walk and use her arms and legs more intentionally, especially when combined with ABM Therapy. This $13,950 covers the remainder of her hospital/surgery expenses from January. Alleviating the burden of these monthly hospital bills from our budget will be an enormous blessing to our family, as it is an incredibly expensive procedure that we are paying for out-of-pocket.

3. We Carry Kevan (WCK) Backpack -$450

The We Carry Kevan Backpack is an awesome piece of equipment that mobilizes individuals with disabilities by redefining accessibility as a cooperative effort. The WCK Pack is a carrier device specially designed for individuals with disabilities to go where wheelchairs cannot, with the help of friends and family. It’s essentially a type of pack that would allow Cove’s family to carry her through adulthood. Cove has an incredible spirit for adventure and always wants to go and see and do. If you know her you know she’s as wild as she is sweet! We want to be able to provide her with any means we can to be able to explore the world if we’re hiking at a National Park, going on a beach vacation or traveling the globe!

4. Merry Muscles Therapeutic Exerciser -$1,200

Merry Muscles Therapeutic Exerciser is designed by an occupational therapist to enhance muscular development, balance and coordination in children who have cerebral palsy. This piece of equipment will allow Cove to use her legs in a functional way and will be particularly good for Cove’s hips. The exerciser can help train Cove’s brain and body to perform an action by not only having skeletal input, but also muscle and joint strengthening. The exerciser can grow with Cove through adulthood, so she can use it for many years to come. With tax, shipping and handling the cost of the youth exerciser is $1,200.

Click here to visit their website and see a video of a child using the youth sized exerciser: <a href="https://merrymuscles.com/youth-size-merry-muscles-therapeutic-exerciser" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://merrymuscles.com/youth-size-merry-muscles-therapeutic-exerciser/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://merrymuscles.com/youth-size-merry-muscles-therapeutic-exerciser/</a></a>

Our long-term goals and hopes for Cove as she gets older and bigger is cultivating her independence by helping her learn how to sit, walk and assist in self-care tasks by herself. The combination of SPML surgery, ABM therapy and these pieces of equipment working together gives Cove a complemented, holistic treatment to yield the best quality of life for her in childhood, adolescence and adulthood.

Please help us meet our goal of $28,000 by October 24th by sharing this Go Fund Me page with your friends and family through social media using the hashtag #covesjourney. You can find us on Instagram (@covesjourney) and on Cove's Facebook Page (Cove Phillips). It means the world to us that you’re taking time to find out more about Cove and are following along in her miraculous story. And thank you for supporting us financially and through prayer. We feel so blessed by your love and generosity! Please help Cove by giving whatever you can; even something small can make a huge difference to our family. Truly, we are so grateful!

Love, Jessie Phillips (Cove’s Mom) &amp; Family

Cove's Journey to Wholeness

*************PLEASE HELP****************

I’ve been suffering with toxic mold in my mobile home.We have been having problems with our air conditioning unit and come to find out the unit is too small for the home causing inadequate air flow and dust. We also had water damage to our roof all of which feeds mold. The mold is in the roof of our home, the crawl space with our AC unit&amp; because of the damaged roof we believe it’s in the insulation as well. I’m a mother of a lot of kids several have not made it to school yet and I really enjoy seeing about them.I have been trying very hard since I became sick  pushing myself daily to see about others when I barely feel like I can make it myself. I’ve been to countless doctors/ probably every specialist you can name and have had an array of tests done from a lumbar puncture test ,several ER visits and even called a hypochondriac . I know something is not normal about my body.I don’t like a lot of attention and if I didn’t have this issue I wouldn’t be sharing my story.Needless to say I went to two natural doctors and immediately they both said mold/CIRS. I can’t work because of my sickness and I consider myself to have once been a very hard worker. I once was a teacher.We got a mold specialist to come out and he said the type of mold in my house kills individuals. I also had a test done through the Great Plains Laboratory only to find out that what the doctors said is true. I have two different types of mold in my system and the levels of both are severely off the charts. I suffer all day long everyday and I feel as if my body is shutting down.It is tedious to perform activities of daily living. I can name about 40 things I deal with but the most debilitating has to be the Chronic Fatigue, Severe Brain Fog, lung infections,Shortness of Breath, Fibromyalgia  ( burning feeling all over) especially in my head, vision issues, sharp stabbing pains in head that comes and goes, stomach issues,feeling disoriented, feeling as if I’m spaced out , I have EBV, extreme sweating,inflammation,tremors , POTS syndrome,feeling off balance as if I’m about to fall ,and this gets to me because I feel like I’m going to drop my baby. My kids also tell me of a lot of things bothering them and I don’t have enough to put them in a better situation, which hurts.I really enjoy seeing about others and because of my sickness I can’t as much ,so it makes me feel like I’m a bad mother. I’m trying not to make this too long. I don’t want to come across as complaining because I’m only stating facts &amp; I consider myself to be an appreciative yet humble individual.I believe in God and he has truly given me strength through his word.I just believe that eventually things are going to turn around for me.I constantly have to come back to my home which is not helping my immune system because of the mold toxins. Both natural doctors told me I have to get out of my home to start feeling better. Yet I can’t afford to get out.One put me on some vitamins and binders, but I still feel horrible .So this is why I’m reaching out to whomever is reading this for help . I’m asking for whatever you can give to ithis go fund me account or my cash app . It doesn’t have to be a lot . Im not a fancy person and I don’t want a lot . I’m just trying to get enough to get out of this mobile home and into somewhere my family can breath good quality air. I’m not trying to put anyone in a bind. If you don’t have please don’t make it harder on yourself, just only if you can. I really don’t want to be the cause of anyone struggling &amp; I realize times are difficult for some. I know this life has its woes but if you have your health be appreciative. Don’t go finding trouble and love on your family. There’s nothing God can’t do. I’m not trying to make anyone feel sad for me or get the wrong type of attention. I only need help.I just believe that the end of my suffering is on the way and the other side of this is blissful for my family and I. Even if you can’t give anything maybe you know someone who can. I don’t get on social media much to connection with individuals  to get the word out. I mainly stay at home and tend to my family and I don’t know a lot of people, so if you can share my situation my family and I will greatly appreciate it. If you can’t then please say a prayer for my family. I would appreciate it all.

Some of mold particles are in the AC unit ,so whenever it’s used it just spreads the mold spores on the dust throughout the house &amp;my family and I inhale the toxic particles.

Below are pictures of the medicines I’m on. Most doctors don’t recommend taking until you first get out of the environment ,but my case was so bad that they told me to just start taking it &amp; it can start taking toxins out, but they get reintroduced every time I’m back at home. Also included are pictures from around the house, AC unit pictures ( no matter how much I clean it ,because it’s too small for the home it keeps dust), Doctor notes ( one of the natural doctors dealt with mold herself and time I told her my symptoms she knew It was mold &amp; said Ineed to get out of the house) The mold inspection , some lab work &amp; just a few pictures of how it causes me to react.Time I breath it in, it causes an allergic reaction from swelling in hands, throat ,nose and chest to itching. I have become so behind in medical bills,  I have a lot of medicine I’m on and it’s not cheap, a lot of the procedures &amp; tests the doctor wants me to get done are very costly &amp; on top of that I desire a better home. I don’t have to reach goal on the page,I’m not a fancy person.
