<div>Hi, my name is Bianca, and I’m the proud auntie of my twin sister Daniella’s two beautiful children Dominick (6) and our sweet Mia, who is just 21 months old. I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope, and a mother’s love that’s been tested in every way imaginable.

<div>Mia has been fighting medical battles since she was just a newborn. At only 2 months old, she underwent major craniosynostosis surgery — a procedure that required her to wear a helmet for 8 months during recovery. That alone would be a lot for any family, but for Mia, it was just the beginning.
</div>

</div>
<div>A routine scan soon after revealed something no one was prepared for — a 3cm aneurysm on her right iliac artery. During emergency surgery to repair it, doctors discovered six more aneurysms. Despite extensive genetic testing, we still don’t have answers for why this is happening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mia has been diagnosed with renal artery stenosis and is missing her carotid artery a rare and terrifying condition. Today, we’re facing the hardest chapter yet: the aneurysms have now spread into both of her kidneys, and she will soon need both kidneys removed.
</div>

<div>My sister Daniella is currently undergoing testing to be a potential kidney donor for Mia and if necessary, I will be tested as well. We are praying every day that one of us is a match. But even if we are, it means major surgery and recovery while continuing to care for Mia throughout her transplant journey.

<div>Daniella is now navigating this as a single mother juggling Mia’s critical care with raising Dominick, working, and constantly traveling between Boston Children’s Hospital and Cohen’s Children’s Hospital. The emotional, physical, and financial toll is overwhelming.

<div>We’ve been told that after her transplant, Mia will need to be hospitalized in Boston for 2–3 weeks, followed by outpatient monitoring. This means temporarily relocating to Boston, while trying to maintain stability for Dominick at home in New York.

Miracles for Mia

<div>On June 8th, BBP resident Chris Garcia fell off a ladder at his home, suffering a severe brain injury along with many other significant injuries. He is a father of five, with twins who just graduated and are on their way to the University of Alabama and Florida Atlantic University. He also has a son who is in middle school.

<div>Chris’s brain injury will require a prolonged hospital stay followed by a lengthy stay in a traumatic brain facility, likely not on Long Island. This recovery process will take many months or possibly years.
</div>

<div>As the sole provider for his family, Chris’s income will be devastated. We are doing our best to keep the family’s head above water.
</div>

<div>Chris has always supported local BBP charities and events, including being a long-time coach in the BBPLL.

Tragically Barbara and Dave Clive passed away in the past week within days of one another.  As their only child with no other immediate family, Colin is now struggling to overcome the loss of his loving, devoted parents.  Additionally Colin has been battling brain cancer for the past two years.  Most recently, he has started an experimental treatment that is successfully fighting the metastatic cancer.  At 70 years of age Dave stayed employed to keep his family eligible for health coverage.  Any monies that can be donated to ease the burden on Colin for his long term care and medical expenses would be greatly appreciated.  Any unused funds will be donated to The National Brain Tumor Society in the Clive Family name.  Please prayerfully consider donating to Colin’s cause, no amount is too small or too large.
