I have been living with Graves’ disease, also known as hyperthyroidism, for the past four years. At just 21 years old, I’ve faced a lot of challenges with my health, and now I’ve learned that I have a tumor on my thyroid. After months of working with my doctors, my labs are finally stable enough for me to have the surgery I need. Unfortunately, my health coverage isn’t covering any of the costs, and the surgery has to take place in another state, which means I also need help with travel expenses.
This surgery will remove my tumor and the infected thyroid, giving me a chance to live a healthier life. While I’ll need to be on medication for the rest of my life, it means my thyroid won’t be overworked anymore and I can finally focus on healing. The financial burden of the surgery and travel is overwhelming, and I’m reaching out for help because I can’t do this alone.
Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my page—means more to me than I can express. If you’re able to help, I would be incredibly grateful. And if not, I completely understand—your support, prayers, and encouragement still mean everything to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for being part of my journey.
