So, as many of you know, Landen and I missed his Papa Randy’s funeral and will miss Grandpa Henry’s funeral. What most didn’t know is that we were trying to find out why Landen was so sick again. My intuition was that his ALCL was back, but unfortunately, getting results and answers was going to be more difficult this time around. His hematology doctor was going to delay his care, instead looking for infections even after no results, and Upstate would cancel his biopsy multiple times until I demanded his care be transferred to Rochester. We are here now, and answers are trickling in. Landen’s fight is going to be longer and more difficult this time with the possibility of needing a bone marrow transplant down the road. Currently, they have him on immunosuppressants to stop the spread of his cancer and to help shrink it. He will need a port placed again and to go through chemotherapy again. I am so thankful for all your help and wish I didn’t have to ask again, but this time I will have no income and Joe will not be with us as he has to work and stay with the kids, getting them to school. He will visit on weekends, meaning traveling 2.5 hours down and back on Fridays and Sundays. I appreciate your support and love for our family. Thank you all!
