Our son passed away on the evening of Saturday, January 13, 2024 after a long battle with alcohol use on an emergency operating table. Avery is a combat veteran of the Iraq war who suffered greatly from PTSD that subsequently lead to his alcohol abuse. Avery leaves behind two children whom he loved dearly; Ariana 11 and Zach 17, both of Saco, ME. The purpose of this fundraising is to create an educational fund for Avery's children in his absence.

Avery's Children's educational funds

Last night my best friend was hit by a truck leaving his hips an tailbone broken. I have been given the choice to carry through with a surgery that’s estimated to be around 9000$ with a long road of recovery to follow. Or I could put him to sleep. Being that he is my best friend an loved by many I have chosen to go through with the surgery. It’s not going to be easy but that’s what we do for our fur buddies. I’m not the guy to ask for help an I will make this happen one way or another, but I know duke is loved by many. Safe Haven Humane Society is a No Kill Cat Shelter who currently has several critically ill kitties needing extensive medical care. We need financial support from animal lovers to ensure that we can provide the diagnostics, testing, surgeries and treatments that will give kitties with cancer, and other life threatening diseases a chance to live the life they deserve to live.  The kitty in the photo is Phoenix who just had surgery for a blocked gall bladder. His emergency surgery has cost $4,700 so far! Phoenix is recovering and we hope he will make a full recovery, but meanwhile we have other kitties awaiting expensive diagnostics and possible surgeries.  Please help us provide the care they deserve.
