Blue’s Comeback Continues! We have some wonderful news to share about our boy Blue! He continues to do so well, getting stronger, more determined, and more independent every single day. We truly couldn’t be more proud of him. His rehabilitation at Water 4 Dogs has been nothing short of amazing. The team has worked so hard with Blue through underwater treadmill therapy, strengthening exercises, laser therapy, and so much encouragement. We have seen such incredible progress, and we honestly believe this rehabilitation is giving Blue the best possible chance to walk again. He is SO close. We can see it, and we are not giving up on him! We are getting ready to purchase another rehabilitation package, and while the progress has been incredible, the ongoing cost of Blue’s care is significant. We are fundraising for Blue, Dominik’s amazingly awesome 5-year-old French Bulldog, who brings joy to everyone he meets. Blue suffered a devastating injury due to IVDD and had surgery on April 20th. Since then, he has been working incredibly hard in his recovery and is thankfully regaining the use of his back legs with the help of the wonderful rehabilitation team at Water 4 Dogs. Watching Blue fight so hard to walk again has been both emotional and inspiring. He shows so much drive, grit, and determination every single day, and we want to give him the best possible chance to keep making progress. The funds raised will help cover Blue’s twice-weekly rehab sessions, acupuncture appointments, and important equipment to support his healing, including a wheelchair, skates, electrostimulation, and other necessary items for his recovery journey. Blue, Dominik’s beloved and truly the cutest French bulldog, was suddenly hospitalized this weekend and had to undergo emergency surgery for Intervertebral Disc Disorder. What began as a serious situation quickly became far more complex, as his surgery lasted for hours and required the removal of extensive debris to relieve pressure on his spine. Blue is a fighter. He made it through surgery and is now stable, but the road ahead will be challenging. At the moment, his back legs are unresponsive, and he will need extensive rehabilitation with the hope that he can regain the use of his hind legs. The cost of Blue’s life-saving surgery $14,000, and Dominik will be facing many more expenses for his rehabilitation and ongoing care. Blue is so much more than a pet. He is pure love. He has brought joy, comfort, and laughter to everyone he has met, from neighbors to Dominik’s clients to friends and family here in New York and across Europe. His gentle spirit and unconditional love have touched so many lives. Now it is our turn to be there for him. To support his healing and give back even a small part of the love he has given so freely.
