Hi, I'm struggling. It's hard out there and we seem to fall through the cracks of life. Duke Energy is a company that bullies its customers. Low or no-income families are being price gouged and made to pay more because we're poor. This month, my bill was late. I got a one-week extension, and Duke Energy has decided to poor tax me a $140 deposit after I've definitely paid a deposit to start my service five years ago. They threaten and bleed more money out of me, close to what we have monthly to survive. So they expect me to just hand them my entire check now for us to live that month with absolutely nothing. I say HELL NO DUKE ENERGY. Please help if you can. Thank you with all my heart if you do, but it's hopeless. It has been in this town since 2020, so that's nothing new. Inflation is killing many of us, but for people like me, they've already dug my grave and I just have to go without. I'm enclosing proof of their devastating greed upon me. Thank you.
