<div>Unfortunately my teeth aren’t doing as well as we’d hoped so it’s time to start on my denture adventure. I’m working with 3 dentists: a periodontist, a denture guy, and a tooth lady. We’ve figured out the exact plan of attack and it’s going to cost a lot.

<div>My gum surgeries and procedures did work - because my gums are so much better, I qualify for “snap in” dentures up top (also known as an overdenture). This is much better than a traditional denture, which tends to move around a lot and is much less comfortable. I'll be able to get "all on 4" implants on the bottom.

<div>I’m not a candidate for top implants as I have too much jawbone loss already from a combination of autoimmune and genetic issues.
</div>

<div>There’s always a chance that the posts for the snap in dentures &amp; implants will fail and I’ll be stuck with regular dentures. That said, it seems like this will probably work which is exciting.

<div>I am a 47-year-old transgender woman, and for most of the last 5 years I was a <strong>committed stay-at-home mother to my daughter</strong>, who is non-verbal and has diagnosed special needs. During this time, I lived with my daughter, and my (now ex-)partner, in their parents' house, in our own private basement suite.

<div>Due to a criminal incident in September where I was the victim, I was forced to move away from my daughter, with no resources or savings. <strong>My now ex-partner has decided to dissolve our engagement, and our relationship since that attack. </strong>

<div>I did not realize how badly the incident would affect me, and I have been diagnosed by my NP with <strong>heavily increased anxiety and depression </strong>and <strong>often find myself scared</strong>, or extremely anxious when I need to leave my new apartment. It is likely I have some form of PTSD, although I do not have a full diagnosis at this time.

<div><strong>I do not know how long it will be until I can rejoin the work force,</strong> nor how long it will take me to recover from the trauma of the incident, so I will be living on my own with <strong>no resources</strong> outside of basic government assistance payments, and a stipend provided by my ex.

<div>Funds that are sent to be will be used to pay for my <strong>groceries, utilities, and medications</strong> that I need that are not covered under Canadian medical plans or assistance (such as my <strong>Estradiol, essential to my transition</strong>).

<div>Additionally, as <strong>many of my clothes do not fit</strong> do to a recent significant weight loss, I will need a new wardrobe of basics, so I will feel move confident and secure leaving the house. I will also be using funds for my laser treatments, so I can properly pass for <strong>my safety</strong>. I hope this will also allow me to move back into my career when I have had the time I need to heal.

<div>I have incurred<strong> significant debts</strong> due to my inability to work since the attack in September, as well as expenses due to my emergency solo move, so when possible, I will use funds to keep the payments current so I can continue to take advantage of emergency credit instruments if needed (<strong>I have currently maxxed everything out</strong>).

She has also struggled getting a job due to general job market awfulness and due to her mental health. She has also had to stop therapy since leaving university because of the expense. Because of this her mental health has continued to decline so we are urgently trying to get her back into therapy asap.

Sculptural Canvas Art...and Beyond!

Bees is our 12 year old nebelung mix cat, former gutter kitten, and prolific trash cat. She has always loved to chew on plastic, but today she actually ingested some and we had to take her to the vet (finding plastic in cat vomit - not great). After sedating her because she kept trying to murder them, they did some x-rays and it turns out that she barfed up all the plastic, but she has a huge mass on one of her kidneys. I was crying before the vet finished her sentence. This cat has been with me for 12 years. She has been on two planes just to move back to Indianapolis with me from Arizona. She has saved my life in my lowest moments more times than I can count. Right now, I don't have the $2000 (possibly more) to save hers. My parents paid the $500 that we owed just for today, but as soon as we can raise the estimate of around $800 plus money for medications, we are taking her in so they can test the mass, do an ultrasound, and get her bloodwork done. After that we will likely need more to have the mass removed regardless of what it is. Please help if you can, and share if you can't.
