I’ve just got back from my 2nd round of TPCE, it was brutal to say the least and the side effects haven’t quite kicked in but I’m ready for a few days of rest and binge watch some Gilmore Girls - it’s cosy season after all. Dr Vogl said I will another 2 rounds of TPCE, so I’m half way there! The first round has seen a reduction and they look clearer but he’s a man of few words so another 2/3 sessions to go hopefully. Then, we move onto cryoabltion or microwave ablation to sucker punch the rest into oblivion. But the treatment doesn’t stop there. Once he’s tackled the lungs, I have lymph nodes under my arm than need addressing as well as a few other areas, on my latest UK scan it is now in the lining of my lung, hello new chemo too!! We are hoping that some of TPCE will help reduce these - that is why the pain in my armpit has gone and the lymph nodes are no longer enlarged where I can feel them, but we know by now that all chemo does it keep it at bay for a short amount of time until the cancer becomes resistant and I need it GONE and stable for longer! I can’t believe that so many of you and so many complete strangers have given just over 7k in 3 weeks, it amazes me just how much kindness there is in this world and how incredible people can be. It really does give me extra motivation and drive to keep on this fight with a big massive smile on my face. That being said I think I’m going to need to go to Germany at least another 6 times so if you can spare anymore coffees (just that £5 or even a £1, I promise it makes a difference) or even just continue to talk about my story and share it far and wide - I’d be forever grateful. There’s lots of things people are doing to help raise funds too, to name a few; theres 2 fabulous girls running the Robin hood half marathon after getting drunk one day and thinking why the hell not - good luck Abbie and Olivia . My beautiful Niece, Lauren, running the Great South Run in October and the fantastic Pizza Yard doing a fundraising bottomless brunch. Then in November my lovely Niece Martha is doing a sponsored run with her football club at just 10 years old!! And the wonderful Rosie Fawami inviting me to be a guest on @everythingchanges podcast event and donating half the proceeds to little old me!! Thank you all again for doing this - it blows my mind that this is for me. Finally, you all know how much I love this life of mine and how lucky I consider myself. And if my story does one thing, I want it to be that it makes you want to book that trip, go on that day out, make sure you life is filled with people who bring happiness into it. And don’t forget the small things too, the beautiful crisp September air, the autumnal leaves crumbling as you walk and the sound of the birds rising at a reasonable time! Life can be filled with big things to make memories but it can also give you the very best days by having a slow day taking in just how incredible it is to live in this world of ours and make memories with our loved ones each and every day. Thanks again for being here on this journey with me. P.S I love you Nellie and Joe - my inner strength and my reason for being ✨
My next treatment in Germany is around the corner. I’ve just about got over my last, it wasn’t easy, I found it mentally harder than I thought , and it has made me sleep a lot! That’s not like me, but sometimes your body needs it and I’m trusting that this means the treatment is doing good things inside me! Chemo alongside TPCE is brutal, but I’m feeling positive and I’ve got the first one done and dusted, there’s some aches and pains that have already gone, which must be a good sign right? I’ve got enough money for my September trip, but I’m going to need to go at least another 4/5 times - Dr Vogl has said that my cancer looks nasty (don’t I know it) and it will take a lot of TPCE before we move onto the next phase of treatment. With that being said I’m asking you to dig deep again, (I hate doing this, I’m sorry to have to ask) and if each of person could donate the price of a coffee, just £5 each, that would make such a big difference in helping to pay for the next 6 months, or even just sharing my story again makes a huge difference too. I’m doing treatment in Germany along with my protocol I’ve done for the past year, crazy amount of supplements and tablets to block the cancer pathways, daily sessions in HBOT, mistletoe, exercising, sauna, vitamin c etc - all costs a lot of money each month to maintain, whilst trying to make as many memories as possible with my little family. It’s crazy that I’m doing this just to live longer, it’s unfair and each night I put Nell to bed my heart breaks that little bit more that she’s been dealt this card from the day she was born. It’s not right but it is our life and anything you can do to help me be here for longer, I would massively appreciate and be forever grateful
