<div><strong>In just one day, Manjit went from walking her dog to fighting for her life.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Manjit is a kind, funny, and hardworking woman who is very active, works full time, and loves to go for long walks with her dog. She lives with her loving husband, Kam, and their dog, Simba.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On <strong>Monday, 14th July 2025</strong>, Manjit’s life changed forever. Kam found her slumped on the sofa, her lips blue, and her hands and feet ice cold. He immediately called an ambulance. At the hospital, Manjit was placed in an induced coma, on life support, and dialysis. Doctors diagnosed her with <strong>Septic Shock</strong>, complicated by <strong>DIC (Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation)</strong>—a rare and life-threatening condition causing abnormal blood clotting throughout the body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her chances of survival were slim. We were told she had only days to live, and if she did survive, she might face multiple amputations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to the incredible ICU team at <strong>New Cross Hospital</strong>, and against all odds, Manjit began to recover. She was brought out of the coma and returned to us—despite suffering several cardiac arrests along the way. Each time, she fought her way back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sadly, her battle is far from over. Manjit now faces <strong>quadruple amputation surgery</strong>, and has been transferred to <strong>Russells Hall Hospita</strong>l under the care of the Vascular Team.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Understandably, Manjit is devastated. She is mourning the life she had before—where simple tasks like picking up a glass of water were effortless.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>“She’s the strongest person I know. Every time I thought I’d lost her, she came back fighting. Now it’s our turn to fight for her.” </em>— <strong>Kam</strong>

</div>
<div><strong>How Your Support Will Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are committed to helping Manjit rebuild her life. With your support, we aim to provide her with:
</div>
<div>• <strong>Advanced prosthetics</strong> to restore mobility and independence
</div>
<div>• <strong>Home adaptations</strong> to make her living space accessible
</div>
<div>• <strong>Physiotherapy, mental health support, and rehabilitation</strong> to aid her recovery
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any funds not directly used for Manjit’s care will be donated to <strong>Positive Bones</strong>, a charity that empowers amputees and people with limb disabilities to live life without limits.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Organiser &amp; Fund Management Information</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is <strong>Nicole Paul</strong>, and I am Manjit’s <strong>niece</strong>. I am organising this GoFundMe on her behalf with her full knowledge and consent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will be <strong>managing the funds for Manjit</strong>, using them directly to pay for the expenses listed above or transferring funds to her as needed to ensure they are used solely for her recovery, rehabilitation, and any further adaptations she needs to make her life as comfortable as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Thank You</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your generosity will help Manjit regain her independence and rediscover joy in everyday life. <strong>Thank you for being part of her journey.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong><em>If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others. Every share helps us reach more people who might be able to support or spread the word. Your kindness and support mean the world to us. Thank you! </em></strong>
