<div>I'm reaching out for help for my friend DezaRay. She's in her 40s &amp; was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She's spent time talking to her doctors and has opted for a double-mastectomy. Her recovery time will be extended because she's lacking chest skin &amp; will need to have breast expanders for some time, which will delay her recovery process.

<div>I met DezaRay in support groups for TRAs (Transracial Adoptees.) As an Adoptee, it's often really difficult for us (for many reasons) but one of the most challenging things we face is the lack of any medical history. DezaRay sadly doesn't have any family connections (her young adult son is in another state &amp; not able to help financially) and due to moving to a new area several months ago, hasn't yet built up a community of support/friends or steady employment.

Reconstructive surgery from breast cancer

<div>While on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC, our friend and brother Frankie Capolino, also known as Frankie Love as most know him, got caught up in an altercation with someone at a local bar and was blindly punched. He fell to the ground and hit the concrete floor, causing severe head trauma and bleeding on the brain. He is still in critical condition and on a ventilator as he was unable to breathe on his own.

<div>For anyone that knows Frankie, he already had a brain injury from a past motorcycle accident and was already on permanent disability. So needless to say, <strong>he will undoubtedly need financial help when he recovers</strong> because he will, as he is a fighter. He is one of the most caring, loving, and funniest people you would ever know.

Right before this we were unexpectedly displaced from our apartment because of a huge rent spike we could not afford. Mom lives with us &amp; is staying with us in a 2br/2ba hotel which is extremely expensive during Spring Training time. I have to go between efficiency &amp; hospital via Lyft at $10ish a ride &amp; the expenses are taking a toll on me. Mom’s dementia is increasing at an alarming rate and I’m pulled in many directions and just asking for help to make it through this very difficult time. Hi everyone. If you clicked this link it’s probably because Summer has impacted your life in some way, maybe small or big, but no doubt you remember it. Summer is our bursting ball of sunshine. Always singing or smiling, even when she’s going through the most. Well now it’s time we give back to her, because she is about the face the hardest battle of her life. <br />On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 my best friend in the world was diagnosed with breast cancer. Within 24 hours she was scheduled many more appointments and the fear in us grew rapidly, as doctors calmly bring up things like surgery, chemotherapy, and more test than we could ever imagine. Even though we all know Summer will pull through this like the champion she is, the next year of her life is going to come with many obstacles. Summer lives alone, pays her own bills, takes care of her animals, works a full time job, does things for our community, travels frequently to Arizona to see her younger brother and so much more. She will obviously be losing hours at work as well as paying a ton of co-pays and I just want to help her keep any bit of normalcy she can during this hard time. Please consider making a small (or large) donation to Summer. She lives on a budget. I don’t want her worrying about her rent, or feeding the animals. I don’t want to see her stress about how she’s going to afford the lifestyle that comes with cancer. Anything will help, and we are grateful for every $1. <br />Most of us know less than 2 years ago, Summer lost the most important person in her world, her mother. Going through cancer at 36 years of age without your mom is VERY scary. This came out of nowhere and the roller coaster of emotions has just begun. Help Summer beat Cancer!

Hi friends and family,<br /><br />    As some of you may know, my sister Jennifer and Shawn's baby boy, Christopher, was born with Downs Syndrome. Babies who are born with this congenital defect sometimes have heart problems, that was the case with Christopher. Baby "Chris" was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, that's a big fancy word for describing multiple "holes" in his heart making it very difficult for it to "pump" effectively. 18 days ago, baby Chris underwent open-heart surgery in hopes of repairing the "holes", however the first surgery was not successful because one of the holes (VSD) came undone leading to a backflow of blood that poured into his lungs, making it very difficult for Chris to breath or eat. Because Chris was not "doing good" he underwent a SECOND open-heart surgery to repair the last hole. <br /><br />He is now post-op day 9 and has developed PULMONARY HYPERTENSION due to scarring(?) <br /><br /> Pulmonary hypertension is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of your heart.<br /><br />Pulmonary hypertension begins when tiny arteries in your lungs, called pulmonary arteries, and capillaries become narrowed, blocked or destroyed. This makes it harder for blood to flow through your lungs, and raises pressure within your lungs' arteries. As the pressure builds, your heart's lower right chamber (right ventricle) must work harder to pump blood through your lungs, eventually causing your heart muscle to weaken and eventually fail.<br /><br />Pulmonary hypertension is a serious illness that becomes progressively worse and is sometimes fatal. Although pulmonary hypertension isn't curable, treatments are available that can help lessen symptoms and improve your quality of life (www.MayoClinic.com)<br /><br />I pray for baby Christopher, Jen, Shawn, and sweet Katelyn. This has not been an easy road for them and I'm afraid it will continue.
