<div>Most of you all know our mother, Melanie Hamann. Most of you don’t know that she has had a pretty rough 2023 year.

<div>In 2018 she had some drooping on one side of her face and some seizure activity. They later found out during that episode that she has a mass at the base of her brain that is inoperable. Fast forward to this year, she has had several changes in mental state, memory, and overall quality of life. We recently found out she has a glioma tumor in the front right side of her brain.

<div>This past Tuesday, Nov 7th, she underwent surgery to remove that tumor so we can do some further testing and get a game plan. This has been a life-changing experience for her life in general. Do to the amount of changes she has encountered, she has not been able to work for the past few months, has had several doctor appointments and is still a year way from retirement.

<div>Her daughters, Jess and Amber, and all of her immediate and extended family are asking for help if you are able, to get her back on her feet and to continue the care she has graciously been given during this time. Anyone that knows her, knows that she is a very private, to herself individual.
</div>
<div>Melanie has been one of the hardest working, artsy, fun, up for anything, go-to person there is. The art world has been her sanity and adores her fans and followers. She sees the world in different views and loves to show her personality through her painting.

<div>My niece Ashlee Ray went to the hospital December 22nd not feeling well. After running tests, Ashlee was diagnosed with AML. Doctors said if she had not gone to hospital when she did she would have gone to sleep and not have woken up. She was dying. Her kidneys were shutting down, her heart was struggling to pump blood, her bowels were shutting down. It's a true miracle that she is alive. She is 35 with a teenage son. She has begun intense chemo treatments and will be at Vanderbilt for about a month. She will need a bone marrow transplant and brain surgery for brain bleeds as a result of medications. She has great doctors and staff taking care of her. We are in constant prayer and looking for her to go into remission.  Her beautiful smile radiates through the pain.

<div>With all that being said, insurance only covers so much and she will be unable to work for a year once in remission. These complications led to some deformity with his legs and feet. As a result, Kayden had two abdominal surgeries immediately after birth, and most recently he underwent a double-amputation of his right foot and left leg. In January 2016 he had a second amputation on his right leg.<br /><br />We are confident and faithful that God will make a way for him to have a wonderful life and to have the same opportunities as any other child. <div>On July 7th, 2025, our beloved friend Leilani suffered a sudden stroke that turned her world upside down. Thanks to the quick response of her neighbor, she got to the ER in time, but her journey since then has been long and challenging.

<div>After over three weeks at Good Samaritan in Puyallup, WA—stabilizing, recovering, and starting rehab—Leilani is now facing months of healing ahead. She won’t be able to return to work until at least October and will need ongoing therapy. Medical bills are already arriving.
