I am Rolando Moncayo, currently employed as a metal sheet worker at Rockwell Engineering since February 18, 2026 to the present. I am from the Philippines, married, and blessed with three children. We are a faith-centered family—my wife serves as the chairman of our chapel, while our children actively participate as readers and choir members in our church. On March 7, 2026 (Sunday), a tragic accident occurred. While my wife was driving home from church, and only about 35 meters away from our house, she made a left turn with proper signal when an overtaking motorcycle collided with her. It was later found that the rider of the motorcycle had faulty brakes, which contributed to the collision. My wife was immediately transported to Tanauan Medical Center, where she was first admitted to the Emergency Room and later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She urgently needed neurosurgery to remove a blood clot and treat severe head trauma. Unfortunately, no neurosurgeon was immediately available at the facility, so we made the difficult decision to transfer her to Mary Mediatrix Medical Center. Upon arrival, she was scheduled for emergency surgery at 8:00 AM the following day. She was diagnosed with the following conditions: - Acute Subdural Hematoma, Right Frontotemporoparietal Area - Acute Subarachnoid Hemorrhage - Subgaleal Hematoma - Lacerated Wound, Left Temporal Area Due to the severity of her condition, she stayed in the Neuro ICU for 17 days. During this time, she also developed hospital-acquired pneumonia as a result of prolonged intubation (almost two weeks). To manage her condition and prevent further complications, she underwent tracheostomy and gastrostomy procedures. As of last night, she has been transferred to a private room, where she is now beginning her recovery journey. However, the financial burden of her medical care has become overwhelming. Our current hospital bill has reached approximately PHP 2.2 million, excluding the professional fees of her doctors. This amount is far beyond our financial capacity. In this regard, I am humbly knocking on your kind hearts for any form of financial or medical assistance that you may extend. Any support, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping us sustain her treatment and recovery. We remain hopeful and prayerful during this difficult time, trusting in the compassion and generosity of others. Thank you very much for your time, understanding, and kindness.
