I walked up to him at a bus stop and asked if he had a dollar so I could ride the bus. He told me he didn’t have any money but instead, he offered me food.

<div>Rodney recently quit his job and has been battling drug addiction, but what struck me most was his honesty and despite having so little, he still chose to be kind. He told me he’s ready to break free from his past and willing to take any job that will help him get back on his feet. But after a long legal fight, the court granted me 60% custody of my daughter—because the evidence was clear: I showed up for her consistently, and I was the stable parent. Even after the ruling, my ex struggled to follow the schedule. She routinely missed her own parenting days or asked me to take over. Most weeks, I was raising my daughter five days out of seven.

<div>That’s what being a father means to me—being there, even when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable. But instead of meeting me halfway, she began escalating. When it became clear that the court recognized me as the primary parent, she lashed out.

<div>What started as a family court dispute spiraled into something far more dangerous. She began weaponizing Florida’s mental health laws against me—filing false statements and abusing the Baker Act process to try and paint me as unstable. Despite no history of threats, violence, or instability, I was detained twice under the Baker Act—ripped from my home, treated like a criminal, and denied any hearing, charges, or due process.

<div>But it didn’t stop with her. When I began investigating what happened—when I uncovered documentation errors, unlawful police conduct, and potential collusion between agencies—I became a threat.

<div>Craig was working on a story about the mayor of Clinton, IN in early 2023. He was working on uncovering the corruption of the mayor and the rest of the government workers of Clinton. He had gone to their city hall only a handful of times to request public documents and to attend public city hall meetings. During his investigations, the mayor's assistant filed stalking and harassment charges against him. The mayor's assistant was the person Craig had to go to in order to request public documents for his investigation.

<div>They are trying to charge him with 2 counts of Felony 6 stalking and 3 counts misdemeanor B harassment. You can see the video for details on his story!

<div>UPDATE:  Katherine has extensive, high grade breast cancer. She first discovered the lump in the end of May, with the lumpectomy being 8/9/24. Although imaging suggested the tumor was only 1.2cm, the surgeon removed 4cm, but was unable to get clear margins. With this particular aggressive cancer, growing so quickly, the only treatment option left was a double mastectomy. Katherine was in pain and continued to feel the lump grow every day (despite the surgeons saying it wasn't growing), and by 9/12/24 (the date of the double mastectomy), it had grown another 6cm (for a total of 10cm!), leaving only 1 millimeter of clear margin up against her pectoral muscles!  Given how extensive the tumor was, the skin left behind is very thin (and will not thicken over time). If Katherine's skin does not start circulating blood by Wednesday 9/25 (her next surgical follow up), she will have to have another surgery next week - to remove the reconstruction AND the dying skin tissue. Due to the size of this area of skin, and other health factors, if this third surgery has to be performed, it will effectively foreclose Katherine's chance of having reconstruction in the future, as well. Hyperbaric treatments are Katherine's last hope for avoiding a third surgery - but her insurance won't approve it.

<div>Hello, I am Chelsea Metzger. My brother-in-law, James, was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma cancer in 2022. Ewing sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that occurs in bones or in the soft tissue around the bones. James had a localized soft tissue mass. His treatment included two types of chemotherapy. One was done ever two weeks and the other consisted of a five day stay in the hospital every month. He had mass removed after chemotherapy. This treatment was expected to last a year. James wasn't able to work during last year as his treatment is very aggressive. James is 30. We are hoping to raise money to help with treatment and living expenses.

He still has to do scans every 3 months to make sure everything is gone and not coming back as Ewing Sarcoma is a type of cancer that can.
