Keely (Ethan’s sister), and best friend Abbie have supported Ethan’s journey from the very beginning.
In 2021, Keely's little brother Ethan was diagnosed with Burkitt's Leukaemia at just 4 years old. He battled for 6 months at Birmingham Children's Hospital and is now in his 5th year of remission. Since then, the girls have spent every year fundraising through all kinds of crazy challenges to support the cause that is close to there hearts and raise awareness.
Over the years, they've taken on everything from walking 100,000 steps in a single day to running the Manchester Marathon — twice!
This challenge is no different.
This time, they are aiming to walk 50 miles in one day. The challenge will take place on Saturday the 8th August 2027 and be part road walk and part treadmill endurance. They will begin in Telford, walking all the way to Wolverhampton before finishing the remaining miles on the treadmill at the gym.
"Every step we take is for Ethan, and for every family facing the unimaginable battle against childhood cancer."
Every penny the charity raises goes on to buy toys, equipment and food vouchers for the children and parents on ward 18 at BCH.
Thank you so much for your support — it truly means the world to us.
