Help Me Ride 317KM to Bring Art to Communities. Every kilometer brings art closer to the people who need it most. My name is Samuel Ansah Blay, founder of 46designs and BlackArtsViral. I am an artist on a mission to make art accessible, visible, and impactful. This June, I will embark on a 317-kilometer solo journey from the Ashanti Region, Kumasi to the Greater Accra Region not by car, not by bus, but on an electric scooter and I need your support. I’m riding to raise funds and create awareness for a dream I deeply believe in: a Mobile Art Gallery that travels, tells stories, and brings art directly to communities that rarely have access to creative spaces. This journey is about resilience, courage, and proving that anything is possible when you set your mind to it. Along the way, I will document and livestream the ride, sharing stories, challenges, and inspiration to encourage others to chase their dreams. All funds raised will go directly into making this journey safe, impactful, and visible, including: • Purchasing an electric scooter for the journey. • A power station to keep devices running. • Safety gear and protective equipment. • A camera to livestream and document the adventure. • Internet access for real-time updates. • Camping gear for overnight stops. This journey is the first step toward building a one-of-a-kind Mobile Art Gallery that will travel, inspire, empower artists, and connect communities through creativity. This fundraiser supports Samuel Ansah Blay, a Ghanaian visual artist, curator, and cultural force whose journey began in the quiet uncertainty of the COVID-19 lockdown and has since grown into a global movement uplifting Black artists and inspiring thousands of young creatives. When the world shut down during COVID, Samuel turned inward. With limited resources but an unstoppable passion, he began painting digital portraits faces filled with emotion, resilience, and untold stories of Black identity. What started as a personal outlet for survival soon became a calling. Through consistency, discipline, and purpose, Samuel built a powerful online presence. Today, he has grown a community of over 75,000 followers on BlackArtsViral (Instagram) a platform he founded to spotlight and celebrate Black artists across the globe many of whom had never been seen, supported, or paid for their work before. But Samuel didn’t stop at visibility. Recognizing how many young people shared his hunger to create but lacked guidance, he began offering digital painting masterclasses, freely passing on the skills he taught himself. For many students, this was their first real access to professional art education proof that their passion was valid and their future could be creative. Yet in Ghana, access to art is still a privilege. Entire communities especially youth in villages and underserved urban areas grow up without ever stepping into a gallery, meeting a professional artist, or seeing their culture reflected as something valuable and powerful. Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. That is why this fundraiser exists. The Mobile Art Gallery Project The Mobile Art Gallery Project is a bold, visionary initiative created to bring art directly to the people not someday, but now. This project will transform a creative vehicle into a fully equipped, traveling art gallery that moves through schools, villages, marketplaces, and city streets across Ghana, showcasing contemporary African art while hosting workshops, live demonstrations, and youth-focused creative programs. Led by Samuel Ansah Blay founder of 46designs and curator of BlackArtsViral this project is more than an exhibition. It is a lifeline for young creatives who have never been told that their art matters. Art heals. Art gives language to emotion. Art keeps young people dreaming when the world gives them reasons to quit. For Ghana’s youth, this mobile gallery represents visibility, possibility, and hope. Why This Is Urgent Every day without access to creative spaces is a day talent goes unseen. Every year without exposure is a generation told silently that art is not a future. Samuel has already proven what is possible with nothing but purpose.
