My name is Tracy, and I am the mother of David A. Williams III. Since 2020, just before COVID, my son has been paralyzed from the neck down. In an instant, his life changed, and so did ours. David is 37 years old (the youngest in the rehab) with hopes and dreams, thoughts, and a strong spirit, but his body no longer allows him to do even the simplest things most of us take for granted. He cannot care for himself. I have become his hands, doing things no parent ever imagines having to do for their adult child. David is currently in rehabilitation, fighting every day to come home to his apartment. Coming home means hope. It means dignity. But it also means 24-hour care, specialized equipment, medical supplies, and adaptive technology just so he can live safely and communicate more independently. We are trying to raise $10,000 to help make this possible. These funds will go towards: * Around-the-clock nurses and aides * Medical and daily care * Smart and adaptive devices that help David communicate and control his environment * Specialized equipment to improve comfort, safety, and quality of life * Setting up his apartment so he can come home safely This is not about luxury. This is about human dignity. I can only imagine how my son feels trapped in his body, and it breaks me. This can help my son feel independent over his life. Thank you for seeing my firstborn son. Thank you for helping me be his hands when I cannot do it alone. Your kindness means more than words can express. Much love and appreciation, many blessings. David’s Mom, Tracy
