<div>On April 4 2026, Brett was in a life changing motorcycle accident while riding with Nuggets / Friends.
</div>

<div>Riding back from Cafe 247 in Lucerne on Hwy 138, Brett was hit head-on by an oncoming SUV that came over the center-line. 
</div>
<div>Luckily he was able to avoid the vehicle enough to safe his life, but he sustained major injuries to his left hip and leg (and totaled the Road Glide).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was sent by ambulance and admitted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center admitted with a shattered pelvis and hip and an open (compound) fracture on his tibia plateau and started leg stabilizing procedures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>April 6, 2026 surgeons did a 8 hour ‘leg salvage’ surgery to clean out the shattered bone and cartilage, repair the damage and tendons and add hardware.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The surgeon said it was a very serious injury and would be a long road but we are so lucky to have Brett intact sustaining no head trauma, brain or spinal injuries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Brett was discharged and sent home to heal on April 12 - no weight on leg for 8-12 weeks and started improving and getting mobile on crutches while the leg and hip continued to heal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On June 3 at a routine follow-up, it was found that he needed to return to the hospital due to a deep infection in the open fracture wound and kept him there until June 22 doing multiple surgeries in that time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The last surgery on June 15 included replacing hardware, repairing a tendon and a muscle and skin graft to fill the hole below his knee.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Brett has had 8 surgeries now and had a PICC line put in to administer at-home antibiotics every 8 hours until September (3 months) to continue treating the infection and give his leg time to heal as well as rehab.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While this infection has been a setback, Brett's in good spirits and is strong and healthy so we have all faith he will be able to get back to life and work but it's a long hard process.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Brett is an independent licensed plumber and newer small business owner so this has taken huge toll on life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To know him is to love him and we do and have set this up (humbly) to help take some financial pressure off him for these coming months as the hospital bills roll in.

Support Brett's Recovery After Motorcycle Accident

Hi, my name is Dani and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of Todd and his family. Just six weeks ago, Todd received the devastating diagnosis of colon cancer. Only one week later, we learned that the cancer had spread to his liver and lungs, making it Stage 4. Todd now faces an incredibly difficult road ahead. He will need multiple surgeries and is scheduled to begin an aggressive chemotherapy treatment regimen in the coming weeks. His medical team has advised him to take at least six months away from work so he can focus on treatment and recovery.

<div>On Friday, September 9, Glenn went up on the roof of his family’s home to place tarps before an upcoming rain storm. Nobody knows how it happened, but he fell through the roof, and landed on the concrete patio below. A neighbor heard him call for help, and he was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center where he was diagnosed with multiple injuries, including trauma to his brain, skull, neck, ribs, scapula, lungs and diaphragm. Glenn spent nine days in the Trauma ICU, in a coma. He succumbed to his injuries and passed on Sunday, September 18, 2022, surrounded by family.

Glenn inherited his love of falconry from his dad and passed on his passion for falconry, fishing and camping to his son Trevor. From his mom he inherited his big heart. He was artistic and a man of many talents, he was very handy in crafting tools to help improve his falconry craft. Glenn always enjoyed fishing and concerts with his best friend and partner in crime of 50 years, Jeff.

<div>Glenn was a wonderful, happy, all-around good human. Easy going, and fun, and sometimes a bit forgetful (but only of non-important things like his wallet, keys or sunglasses). <div>Everyone's favorite party pig has a mast cell tumor (low grade cancer) that needs surgical removal.  Due to it's location, it needs to be performed by a surgical specialist.  The estimate is $4,000-$6,000!  The medications he has been taking to keep it under control are making him miserable and can't be continued.  Otherwise, he is very healthy, and the surgery is expected to be curative.

<div>He is a very simple , honest, quite and friendly person. Those are also the things i love about him. One thing I can tell many of you that know him that you probably don't know, Frank has hit some very hard times over the last two years and this health issue is just the topping, but everyone who knows Frank knows he never brings his problems to anyone else. He is not the type to ask anyone for anything, no matter what his problem might be. This go fund me page would not even be done if he was not so sick tjhat he has no knowledge of it. I am asking for your help for Frank , for him. He has never need help more than now. He has Leukemias and Pneumonia. He is on a ventilator in the ICU fighting for his life. Memorial Service for Michael Madrid

On Wednesday morning, February 26th, Marie's apartment caught on fire while she was at work.  It's currently suspected that the fire was most likely caused by old wiring in her 1920's Silverlake/Echo Park apartment home. As many of you already know, Robert Michael Kennedy, or Michael as we all knew him, took his life earlier this month in his residence in Los Angeles. As is often the case when a tragic loss occurs,  we don't know why. We all have so many questions that will never be answered. What we do know is that we all loved Michael and Michael loved each of us. <br /><br />Many of you may not know the circumstances or details that I am about to briefly share with you and I will do my best to be brief yet thorough. Due to the manner in which Michael took his life, the Los Angeles County Coroner was unable to identify his body until this past Wednesday, November 16. He was found on November 7. While we awaited the identification, everything was at a standstill. We were unable to prepare any memorial service or arrangements. We were unable to plan what to do with his home and belongings. We were unable to even officially say that Michael was gone. That was a very long and excruiciatingly painful 10 days for those who love him so. Now that the formalities have been handled, we are able to begin to handle all the things that one must contend with. Michael had no significant other or children, his parents are gone. As his brother, I've had to step up and take control and make these decisions for him. Michael's home must be packed up and emptied out, it was scheduled to be sold earlier this month. His affairs must be closed out and handled accordingly. The realtor is not allowing any time, so any sort of estate sale or such is not an option for us.<br /><br />We were not prepared to have these expenses and as there is no one else, it is being left up to my wife and I. The expenses of a person dying add up rapidly, anyone who has every had to handle such can attest. The expenses related to his cremation and memorial, packing up and moving his belongings, and everything else that comes along with it are coming to be right around $10,000.00 and we are being as frugal as possible while still staying true to Michael and who he was. <br /><br />The funds you donate will be used to help cover the costs of cremation and handling of Michael's remains, a very simple memorial service in Los Angeles with his friends and the small amount of family that can travel in and the costs associated with having to travel to Los Angeles to pack up his home and move his belongings. Any additional funds will be used to help hold a small memorial service with his family in Phoenix, who due to illnesses are unable to travel, in the spring. Anything left over will be donated to help suicide victims families. Trust me, we will pay it forward.<br /><br />Normally I'm the guy donating to these things but today I am asking for help. We are asking for your help. Help from his friends and family who loved him so, help from a stranger who may have been touched by suicide, help from anyone who can. These funds will be used to help cover the costs associated with Michael's memorial, cremation and closing down his home and life. Anything that is left over at the end we intend to donate to a suicide prevention fund, with your permission.
