<div>We are friends and loved ones of Brett Rogers
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On April 4 2026, Brett was in a life changing motorcycle accident while riding with Nuggets / Friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Riding back from Cafe 247 in Lucerne on Hwy 138, Brett was hit head-on by an oncoming SUV that came over the center-line.
</div>
<div>Luckily he was able to avoid the vehicle enough to safe his life, but he sustained major injuries to his left hip and leg (and totaled the Road Glide).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was sent by ambulance and admitted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center admitted with a shattered pelvis and hip and an open (compound) fracture on his tibia plateau and started leg stabilizing procedures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>April 6, 2026 surgeons did a 8 hour ‘leg salvage’ surgery to clean out the shattered bone and cartilage, repair the damage and tendons and add hardware.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The surgeon said it was a very serious injury and would be a long road but we are so lucky to have Brett intact sustaining no head trauma, brain or spinal injuries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Brett was discharged and sent home to heal on April 12 - no weight on leg for 8-12 weeks and started improving and getting mobile on crutches while the leg and hip continued to heal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On June 3 at a routine follow-up, it was found that he needed to return to the hospital due to a deep infection in the open fracture wound and kept him there until June 22 doing multiple surgeries in that time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The last surgery on June 15 included replacing hardware, repairing a tendon and a muscle and skin graft to fill the hole below his knee.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Brett has had 8 surgeries now and had a PICC line put in to administer at-home antibiotics every 8 hours until September (3 months) to continue treating the infection and give his leg time to heal as well as rehab.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While this infection has been a setback, Brett's in good spirits and is strong and healthy so we have all faith he will be able to get back to life and work but it's a long hard process.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Brett is an independent licensed plumber and newer small business owner so this has taken huge toll on life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To know him is to love him and we do and have set this up (humbly) to help take some financial pressure off him for these coming months as the hospital bills roll in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able to donate and/or share please do. If you have his number he is on strict bedrest for time being and is texting and taking calls.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your kindness xoxo

Support Brett's Recovery After Motorcycle Accident

Hi, my name is Dani and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of Todd and his family. Just six weeks ago, Todd received the devastating diagnosis of colon cancer. Only one week later, we learned that the cancer had spread to his liver and lungs, making it Stage 4. Todd now faces an incredibly difficult road ahead. He will need multiple surgeries and is scheduled to begin an aggressive chemotherapy treatment regimen in the coming weeks. His medical team has advised him to take at least six months away from work so he can focus on treatment and recovery.
<br>
<br>
 For nearly 20 years, Todd has faithfully served the community through his work with the City of San Clemente. He has always been a hardworking, humble, and dependable person who puts others before himself. Now, he is facing the greatest challenge of his life. Todd is also a devoted father to his daughter, Savannah, 23, and his son, Blake, 14. As he focuses on fighting this disease, the financial burden of medical expenses, lost income, daily living costs, and caring for his family continues to grow.
<br>
<br>
 We are asking for your support during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial stress and allow Todd to focus his energy where it belongs—on his treatment, recovery, and time with his children. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Todd and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.

<div>Since March 2023, <strong>No Canyon Hills</strong> (NCH) has been advocating for expanded Environmental Review for the proposed “Canyon Hills” development in the Verdugo Mountains in Los Angeles. Slated to be built on 300+ acres of significant ecological habitat, the development project will see mountain peaks graded in order to build 221-home luxury homes in a private, gated tract.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In allyship with the earth and its many inhabitants, NCH has simultaneously been working to realize a conservation solution: our top level goal is to conserve the land in perpetuity with an indigenous-led co-stewardship plan.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our efforts have yielded so much to be proud of—events, collaboration, art, music, learning, experiences, and much more. We are so grateful for the collective energy powering NCH, and now we need your help: the “Canyon Hills” developer is suing NCH and associated individuals, and we must raise a reasonable sum in order to defend our work and the right to free speech in service of the public good.

No Canyon Hills Needs You: URGENT Legal Defense Fund ⛰️

<div>As some of you may know, Dennis has faced medical hardship this year which has been a detriment to him financially. As the prideful person he is, I know he probably wouldn’t want this set up. BUT considering his birthday is coming up (oct 26th) and we love him dearly, I am asking that we, as his closest friends and what he would consider family, support him during this time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you everyone for sharing!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

Support D

<div>I’ve had the honor of knowing Max Bozeman for over thirty years, but—unfortunately—this year I’m not throwing him a birthday party, I’m starting a GoFundMe instead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We recently found out Max has been diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of prostate cancer. Unlike your garden-variety prostate cancer, it’s already metastasized and is in Stage 4-B. What’s that mean? It means it’s a 5-alarm fire and Max needs our support to get well.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Maybe you met Max at a Waldorf School function with his kids, or on a bike trail, or at a yoga class, at a mens gathering or on a hike on top of a mountain, or even putting in overtime on the set.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Maybe you met Max in his early years in the middle of the pit, or at the bar, or in the midst of some other shenanigans. You may have also noticed how much he has grown and changed over the years. After his thrashing and trashing days, Max gave time to support others, particularly men, to begin to get in touch with themselves and their own emotional healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you know him as a brother, parent, partner, mentor, or co-conspirator, we can all agree Max needs to keep thriving, perspiring, and inspiring us all to be better humans.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need your help. Please dig deep - like he was standing right next to you. Turns out insurance isn’t gonna cover the treatment Max’ll be getting. We’re hoping these funds will help cover, not only the treatment, but some of the travel and coordination that’ll be necessary to get him there and the herculean task of covering that mountain of bills while the Bozeman-family-breadwinner is battling to triumph over adversity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks for the love and support you’re sending Max’s way and for the memories you’re helping us continue to create together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sending well wishes and love to all.
</div>
<div>Enjoy today ✨✨

MORE LIFE FOR MAX

<div>Hi, we are John Unsinn and Mary Ann Biddle. We are trying to help Marc E. Meyer and his Prop house “Faux Library”.
</div>
<div>Marc has been an integral part of Hollywood for 40 years, and has amassed a very large and comprehensive collection for rent to the Motion Picture and Television Industry.
</div>
<div>Because of the writers and actors strike, he, along with many other prop houses, has had to temporarily shutter his business and is at risk of losing it all together.
</div>
<div>Not to mention he had to lay off his “Faux Family” of thirteen loyal employees.
</div>
<div>We realize the need for better wages and conditions for actors and writers, but the truth is people like Marc and his employees are suffering, as so many are, through no fault of their own.
</div>
<div>All funds raised would go directly to sustain payments of rent on the property until everyone is back to work.
</div>
<div>We must count on each other in these uncertain times, and support those who have given so much to our industry.
</div>
<div>With much hope and gratitude, we thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As an update, Mark is doing everything possible to keep his doors open. This is in large part due to your generosity. Please continue to give what you can and please visit and rent from his beautiful supply of inventory. You are all contributing to keep this vital and important prop house open and we can’t thank you enough.

<div>Help Drew’s Mom and Brothers as They Grieve Their Tragic Loss.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On November 27, a tragic and fatal car accident lead to the untimely passing of Drew Carlson. Our hearts are forever pierced and this earth shattering loss has hit us all so hard. Those who knew Drew could not help but love him. He was beyond talented and loved playing in his band, creating art, and working on his car. He was loving, funny, intelligent, artistic, loyal, and a bold young man with much more life to live. Our world will never be the same without him!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Drew will be forever loved and his legacy will be carried on through his 3 brothers (Christian, Elliott, Benji) and his mom, Misty Park.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Drew was living in Oregon with his Auntie Kimmie and thriving. He was just accepted into college and was getting ready to start after his younger bother Christian encouraged him to apply.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This family has been through so much in the last 5 years and recently things seemed to be looking up. Misty and the boys moved to Texas where she was finally feeling some relief and was able to financially care for her and the boys on her own. She never could have imagined that on Monday, November 27th she would receive the worst call a mother could ever receive. Drew was her first born and had so much life left to live and to offer this world. The family is experiencing unimaginable pain and loss. Misty is trying to keep it together for her boys and still provide, but she does need financial assistance to take some much needed time off work to grieve and to help with all the expenses and to have a memorial in honor of Drew.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know this is a time when we feel helpless but are looking for ways to show up and help, and right now one way we can help Misty and the boys is to provide some financial stability to get them through this horrific time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is the only official Go Fund Me source for Misty and the boys, please consider helping if you feel led to. We know Misty would want everyone to be reminded how precious and fragile life is and to cherish each day and the ones you love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your generosity and love - it brings light in this otherwise devastatingly dark time.
</div>

In Loving Memory of Drew Carlson

<div>Hi, i’m not only Laura’s co-worker at Stories Books &amp; Cafe, but also her friend. We consider everyone on staff not just as friends, but as family. Laura Kerrigan is an integral part of our team, beloved by everyone in the community, and she needs our help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>2023 has been tragic enough, having lost multiple loved ones, and Laura is still grieving the loss of our friends, and very recently, her best companion, her dog Steve. With her giant heart and endless capacity to care and nurture, she rescued a new sweet boy, Lefty, last week.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately just a few days ago, as she was driving with her newly rescued dog, she was in a terrible car accident. She was t-boned, her car was wrecked, and to make matters worse, the driver decided recklessly to hit-and-run. Sadly, her dog needed emergency vet care, but Lefty will be ok. Her car is most probably totaled-either way, the repair or replacement will be an immense loss which she can not afford. She lives far from work and manages many duties for our bookstore, cafe, community center. She desperately needs a vehicle to continue working.
</div>
<div>Between lost wages, car rental, the cost of getting a new car, veterinarian bills, and medical bills for herself, Laura could use some support from her community right now to get her back on her feet, stable, and able to care for her community in all the ways we appreciate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Kerrigan prioritizes care and support for human and animal friend alike, and always extends herself for others- let’s payback the love when she needs it most. ❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Laura is currently waiting on a few medical appointments as well as the status of her accident, which we will keep all posted. She needs support to be able to afford all the surmounting expenses, including, vehicle, medical and vet bills.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>2023 has already hit Laura with so much loss, she’s been struggling to keep her head up and continue being there selflessly for everyone. Please join us and support Laura the way she always does for us. Every bit counts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you

<div>Much love and gratitude,

Emergency relief for Laura after car accident

<div>We started this GoFundMe for our trusted friend and colleague, Peter Detoffoli, who tragically passed away in a car accident on November 4th, 2022. He was a valued and well-respected member of our film crew.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Peter was working as a Teamster on the set of Starship Troopers twenty-six years ago in Casper, Wyoming when he met the love of his life and future wife, Versa. They nurtured a long-distance relationship for a while before Versa moved to LA to build a future with Peter. They married in 2003 and brought two beautiful daughters into the world, Emily (16) and Hayden (14).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Peter was an honored member of the Teamster community and was a mentor to many members over the years. He had the talent to fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a strong work ethic and dedication to his craft but an even deeper love and devotion for his family and his two daughters who were his world. Peter strived to give them everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His dream was to set his daughters up for a life of success and happiness. We would like to honor Peter's legacy by creating a college fund for Emily and Hayden.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to raise $250,000 to set aside for their college tuitions. Please consider making a donation from the heart to help keep Peter's dream alive.

<div>Denise Grisco &amp; Deidre van Eekeren are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the family of Glenn Grisco.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the heaviest of hearts, we set up this GoFundMe to support the wife and children of our brother, Glenn Grisco, who unexpectedly died as the result of an accident.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Friday, September 9, Glenn went up on the roof of his family’s home to place tarps before an upcoming rain storm. Nobody knows how it happened, but he fell through the roof, and landed on the concrete patio below. A neighbor heard him call for help, and he was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center where he was diagnosed with multiple injuries, including trauma to his brain, skull, neck, ribs, scapula, lungs and diaphragm. Glenn spent nine days in the Trauma ICU, in a coma. He succumbed to his injuries and passed on Sunday, September 18, 2022, surrounded by family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/68314689_1663974651842863_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many friends and neighbors have since expressed an eagerness to help in any way possible. While it is difficult to bring comfort to the family after this unthinkable loss, we hope to at least alleviate some of their financial strain. Donations will be used to cover the unforeseen medical bills and expenses for the memorial, and to pay for repairing damages caused by the roof leak, ceiling and drywall. We are doing what we can, but to ease the family's financial burden during this difficult time, we need your help. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For those who didn’t know Glenn well, he grew up working with our dad in the entertainment industry, training animals. After brief employment with Mapson Engineering, for over 20 years, he changed careers returning to work with his hawks. He took great pride in it and he especially loved working at SoFi Stadium, where he used his hawks to make sure pests weren’t present during live events,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Glenn never laughed as much as when sharing ‘dad jokes’ with his daughter, Sarah, and he loved spending time with his wife Mimi, going to dinners and movies, or watching Jeopardy or baseball. There was always a friendly rivalry between Glenn’s Anaheim Angels and Mimi’s LA Dodgers. Glenn inherited his love of falconry from his dad and passed on his passion for falconry, fishing and camping to his son Trevor. From his mom he inherited his big heart. He was artistic and a man of many talents, he was very handy in crafting tools to help improve his falconry craft. Glenn always enjoyed fishing and concerts with his best friend and partner in crime of 50 years, Jeff.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Glenn was a wonderful, happy, all-around good human. Easy going, and fun, and sometimes a bit forgetful (but only of non-important things like his wallet, keys or sunglasses). He adored his family, and every one of us cherished and adored him. He always greeted you with his infectious laugh, the biggest smile on his face, like he was waiting for you to arrive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Glenn leaves a giant heart shaped hole in the lives of his extended family and all who were lucky enough to know him, but especially in the lives of Mimi, Sarah and Trevor, his parents Dennis and Rosalina, and his siblings Bill, Denise and Deidre.

<div>Everyone's favorite party pig has a mast cell tumor (low grade cancer) that needs surgical removal. Due to it's location, it needs to be performed by a surgical specialist. The estimate is $4,000-$6,000! The medications he has been taking to keep it under control are making him miserable and can't be continued. Otherwise, he is very healthy, and the surgery is expected to be curative.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can help me help my little buddy and get him back to party mode, I would be eternally grateful. For anyone able to donate $20 or more, I will send you an official Royal Order of the Royce sticker, generously donated from Sticker Ninja.

<div>Hi everyone, my family experienced a shock on June 1, 2022. My father unexpectedly passed away in his sleep at the young age of 59. I still don’t believe it as he was golfing three days prior. We are in a time of total loss as my family continues to grieve. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help us celebrate the life of my dad as well as support my mom moving forward.

<div> For those of you that don;'t know me, my name is Linda Hall. I have been Franks girlfriend for over 10 years. Those that know Frank Sanchez, the man himself, I can't tell you anything you don't know.
</div>
<div>He is a very simple , honest, quite and friendly person. Those are also the things i love about him. One thing I can tell many of you that know him that you probably don't know, Frank has hit some very hard times over the last two years and this health issue is just the topping, but everyone who knows Frank knows he never brings his problems to anyone else. He is not the type to ask anyone for anything, no matter what his problem might be. This go fund me page would not even be done if he was not so sick tjhat he has no knowledge of it. I am asking for your help for Frank , for him. He has never need help more than now. He has Leukemias and Pneumonia. He is on a ventilator in the ICU fighting for his life. If he doesn't make it, these funds will be used for his funeral. Hopefully that is not the case. If he does make it, these funds will be for an apt to live in and recuperate, he has nowhere to go at this time. I know times are tough for many of us. I know many people cannot afford to give anything now and I completely understand. But if you can give something to help a really great guy that really needs a helping hand , Please do what you can. Every little bit helps. Thank You for spending the time to read this. Thanks to those of you that are able to help financially., and please either way, if you can share this go fund me page with people who might like to help, that would be great!

Helping Frank Out

<div>Hello this is Amanda Madrid,

</div>

<div>Michael Madrid was my father and not only was he a great father and also was a very loving grandfather, an amazing son, and a great friend to anyone who was lucky enough to have the chance of knowing him. He had many friends and family who cared for him deeply and he’s always going to be right there in all of our hearts. Feel free to donate anything, all proceeds will be going towards cremation and memorial services, I’m working on planning a celebration of his life which would be having bands play and just having all his friends in family there to remember him ❤️His legacy lives on through his daughter and 2 grandchildren.

Memorial Service for Michael Madrid

On Wednesday morning, February 26th, Marie's apartment caught on fire while she was at work.  It's currently suspected that the fire was most likely caused by old wiring in her 1920's Silverlake/Echo Park apartment home. Thankfully everyone is safe (including her neighbor's Guinea Pigs!!!), but she lost everything and is facing overwhelming, unexpected expenses to start over.<br /><br />For those of you who know Marie, she is the kindest, gentlest soul and has been my best friend since we were 4 years old.  She just beat Cervical Cancer about a year ago and then this happens!!This tragedy is truly heart breaking and devastating, but with a little help from all of you, we can help her move on quickly and as painlessly as possible.<br /><br />What you'll be helping her buy:<br />-new clothes (she's literally wearing my underwear)<br />-basic toiletries (like...she doesn't even have deodorant) <br />-new furniture, appliances and electronics<br />-new bedding <br />-help with a deposit for a new apartment<br />-utility startups

SAVE OLSONS DELI

As many of you already know, Robert Michael Kennedy, or Michael as we all knew him, took his life earlier this month in his residence in Los Angeles. As is often the case when a tragic loss occurs,  we don't know why. We all have so many questions that will never be answered. What we do know is that we all loved Michael and Michael loved each of us. <br /><br />Many of you may not know the circumstances or details that I am about to briefly share with you and I will do my best to be brief yet thorough. Due to the manner in which Michael took his life, the Los Angeles County Coroner was unable to identify his body until this past Wednesday, November 16. He was found on November 7. While we awaited the identification, everything was at a standstill. We were unable to prepare any memorial service or arrangements. We were unable to plan what to do with his home and belongings. We were unable to even officially say that Michael was gone. That was a very long and excruiciatingly painful 10 days for those who love him so. Now that the formalities have been handled, we are able to begin to handle all the things that one must contend with. Michael had no significant other or children, his parents are gone. As his brother, I've had to step up and take control and make these decisions for him. Michael's home must be packed up and emptied out, it was scheduled to be sold earlier this month. His affairs must be closed out and handled accordingly. The realtor is not allowing any time, so any sort of estate sale or such is not an option for us.<br /><br />We were not prepared to have these expenses and as there is no one else, it is being left up to my wife and I. The expenses of a person dying add up rapidly, anyone who has every had to handle such can attest. The expenses related to his cremation and memorial, packing up and moving his belongings, and everything else that comes along with it are coming to be right around $10,000.00 and we are being as frugal as possible while still staying true to Michael and who he was. <br /><br />The funds you donate will be used to help cover the costs of cremation and handling of Michael's remains, a very simple memorial service in Los Angeles with his friends and the small amount of family that can travel in and the costs associated with having to travel to Los Angeles to pack up his home and move his belongings. Any additional funds will be used to help hold a small memorial service with his family in Phoenix, who due to illnesses are unable to travel, in the spring. Anything left over will be donated to help suicide victims families. Trust me, we will pay it forward.<br /><br />Normally I'm the guy donating to these things but today I am asking for help. We are asking for your help. Help from his friends and family who loved him so, help from a stranger who may have been touched by suicide, help from anyone who can. These funds will be used to help cover the costs associated with Michael's memorial, cremation and closing down his home and life. Anything that is left over at the end we intend to donate to a suicide prevention fund, with your permission. Anything that you may be able to help us with will be greatly appreciated. <br /><br />Thank you all so much!
