<div>Chris was diagnosed on Feb 1st this year with Renalcell carcinoma on his Right kidney. On March 11th due to the original scans being "missed 16 months prior" he had his right kidney removed and was set at a level of stage 3 cancer. He is currently undergoing immunotherapy every 3 weeks through a port that was surgically put in place. We have tried hard to stay afloat but we are currently in a HUGE financial hole and need help. LITERALLY ANY AMOUNT IS A BLESSING. Thank you all in advance. If you know me, you know asking for this is very hard. Im prideful and dont like looking weak. Please help me and my husband get back up on our feet.

Support Chris's Fight Against Stage 3 Cancer

<div>A year ago, my daughter, Arabelle Tetlow, was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL).  And, my, what a warrior she has been!
</div>
<div>It all started with a fever and urinary tract infection, where our pediatrician ordered blood work that came back abnormal. She recommended we see a hematologist, and thanks to a friend, we got introduced to Dr. Alan Ikeda from the Cure4theKids foundation. At first, he was skeptical it was leukemia because her platelet count was normal, which is usually low in leukemia patients.

<div>So, we planned a follow-up in a few months with more lab work. Then Arabelle didn’t walk for a weekend, and when she started walking again, she did so with a limp, which alarmed us.  (We didn’t know it at the time, but with leukemia, the bone marrow swells, causing pain in the extremities.)   Dr. Alan suggested we do a bone marrow biopsy to rule out leukemia; instead, it confirmed that that is what she had. The day was September 15, 2021. We went home that night numb and completely changed. And the very next day, treatment started.

<div>          Since then, Belle has had two surgeries, multiple hospital stays, COVID, lost her hair, and learned to swallow her chemo pills at the age of three years old. Throughout this journey, we have been blessed to have amazing family, friends, and strangers-turned-friends help us in so many ways, BUT we are still in need. Arabelle has at least until November 2023 for treatment, and there are ongoing expenses that come along. We are lucky to have insurance, but it doesn’t cover everything.
</div>
<div>          Traveling to the clinic usually monthly plus hospital copays (which often run to $450 or more) are just a few of the ongoing expenses, and now there are the higher gas prices!  At first, we were able to manage the added expenses, but they just keep on coming. So now we are struggling to keep up with the persistent bills and added expenses.
</div>
<div>           We never thought we would be in this situation because no one anticipates their two-year-old will be diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, Arabelle had the bad luck of being one of the 285 kids diagnosed with cancer before the age of 20 every year!

<div>Arabelle loves Disney princesses, her name was a combination of Ariel and Belle, and we bought her a lot of princess jammies as they were easy to access her port for treatment. She walked the hallways of the clinic and hospital waving to nurses and patients and got the nickname of Warrior Princess. Please help this warrior continue her fight and recover from this horrible diagnosis. Thank you from the Team4Arabelle family!

Warrior Princess Arabelle diagnosed with Leukemia

<p>This is my dear sweet friend Melissa. She and her husband Darrell were in a car accident early Saturday morning on their way home from work. It was raining pretty hard that morning and she hydroplaned and hit the barrier. The last thing Darrell remembers is hearing a loud crash and the next thing he knew he woke up to the truck on it's side and Melissa wasn't there. He crawled out and found her on the road. We aren't sure yet but we think they were hit by another car. She is in critical condition and has suffered multiple injuries but the most concerning right now is a severe head injury and fractured vertebrae. They are keeping her sedated and she is currently on a ventilator.  She has 3 kids at home (16, 15, and 11) and her husband has taken a leave of absence to be with her at the hospital so they currently have no money coming in and now no car. I am helping as much as I can but they need more. I know she would hate this and would never ask but I am asking. Any amount will help Darrell keep up with bills, buy groceries, help get him back and forth to the hospital, and hopefully eventually help him get another vehicle. Most importantly and above everything else please pray for her and her family. This is obviously extremely difficult for Darrell and the kids. Melissa, like most wives and moms, took care of everything and has always been there so they are missing her so much! I will post updates on her condition as we know more. Anyone who has been in a situation where a loved one has been in an ICU knows how difficult it is to not know what the future holds. I want to thank you in advance for your donations and prayers, it is deeply appreciated and we will never be able to thank you enough!

Help for Melissa and her family

My son Thierry was born with a rare congenital heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. When he was born, he was immediately transferred to Children's National. When he was 4 days old, he underwent his first of 3 open heart surgeries. After his third surgery, right before his second birthday, we were hopeful that for all intents and purposes, his condition was fixed to the best that it could be. However, less than a year later he developed a rare side effect associated with his last surgery, the Fontan procedure. He developed a condition called Protein Losing Enteropathy. He was losing serum protein from his blood. This condition is very life threatening if it is unable to be controlled by medication. Since he was diagnosed, Thierry has taken many medications to control this condition. This has included many stays in the hospital to infuse these serum proteins and electrolytes back into his body. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50780266_159860262784517_r.jpeg" alt="50780266_159860262784517_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />For a few years, it has been harder and harder to control his Protein Losing Enteropathy medically. Thierry was evaluated for heart transplant 3 years ago and was denied. However, this year, after being evaluated again, his doctor's at Texas Children's Hospital approved him because of their inability to control his condition any longer. We knew that eventually with PLE, the only thing that would cure it would be transplant. However, we now need to relocate in order for him to be listed for transplant. Once Thierry receives the heart transplant, he will need to be on many new medications, that unfortunately are quite costly, in order to ensure that his body does not reject the new heart. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50780266_1598602668589880_r.jpeg" alt="50780266_1598602668589880_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />With this money, we will be able to relocate in order to be listed on the transplant list. After his transplant, this money will ensure that he is able to receive the medications that he will need to continue taking for the rest of his life. With transplant, every minute counts. His situation is urgent because every month, week, day that he is not listed, it is potentially a missed opportunity<span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">. To be approved for heart transplant has been the biggest blessing. Thierry has been given another chance at life, to live, grow, learn, and to change the world. He has been given the opportunity to grow next to his brothers, play, laugh and giggle, draw and write, even help cook and bake. He is incredibly smart, vivacious, and a force to be reckoned with. He will now have the chance he deserves to be everything that he was meant to be. Please help us make this heart transplant happen and be successful.
