<div>Let me be real with the state of housing for the majority (I'm sure you can resonate):  Housing is manufactured scarce. By the most conservative estimates there is far more than enough vacant housing to house every unhoused person. rent is so high to keep us in cycles of poverty and fear. The fear of being unhoused is meant to ensure we keep performing in the roles and systems that exploit our own bodies /minds /spirits and the body-lands of all oppressed people and the earth we live with. Housing, something that should be available to everyone on our earth, abundant enough to easily support us all, is kept dangling over our heads. They are trying to scare us away from our passions and a meaningful life. This is not a reality we are satisfied with.

<div>We aren’t playing the game. These systems are killing everyone. And we love people and we love this earth. 
</div>
<div>And we need living to feel worth it. 
</div>
<div>So, that is the life we are creating.

<div>We know these oppressive cycles can be liberated, stretched wide open, and we can live beyond the set rules or limitations that have attempted to bind our creativity, compassion, as well as communities.

<div>As soon as we have enough money to buy it, we are going to transform what is now a shuttle bus, into our moving home, and eventually, creative studio base!

<div>This is nearly our last ditch effort to beat homelessness and long term housing insecurity. This bus will be housing us for years to come. This is our way to expand beyond the generationally violent cycles of selling our bodies and time for far less than we are worth while creating wealth for the wealthy; and move instead, into realities we define for ourselves.

This is just to get us started and will be combined with every cent we have saved to buy our bus and begin the process of stripping it down to the bones. On his way to work, Carlos was stopped by ICE and, in a moment of fear, tried to flee. The situation escalated, and he was shot. Now, Carlos is in the hospital, fighting for his life, while his fiancée Cindy and their 2-year-old daughter wait and hope for his recovery.

With Carlos unable to work, they are struggling to cover the necessities of life—food, a safe home, medical bills. <p>hello, my name is Ashley. you may known me online as Digital Love. i am a transgender woman living in poverty in Mississippi. on April 8th, news broke that the state passed SB2322, an anti-trans drivers license bill similar to the one recently enacted in Kansas. SB2322 is now on its way to the governor's desk and will assuredly become law.

<p>on paper, this bill is not quite as extreme as the Kansas bill, as it lacks the language of instant invalidation. however, i do not trust the state to operate within the lines of the bill for a variety of reasons. 
</p><br />
<p>Mississippi has already attacked trans youth with multiple harmful bills (HB1125, SB2536), as well as banning trans women from women's prisons (HB188), and trans people from bathrooms in public education buildings (SB2753). 
</p><br />
<p>SB2322 reaches even wider, further targeting transgender adults by invalidating our primary form of identification: our driver's licenses. anyone presenting an "invalid" ID will be referred to I.C.E. by the arresting officer. 
</p><br />
<p>i am a courier. i drive for a living.

<p>under the circumstances, i feel that i must treat this bill as a red line. 
</p><br />
<p>i have lived here for 15 years. my partner and i recently celebrated our 10th anniversary. i have friends, family, five dogs, and i am autistic. i do not want to do this. but i fear that waiting will only bring more legislation that could leave me with no chance of escape. i have to leave.
