What they care about

I am a widow of the most beautiful little ladies and want nothing more then to protect and provide the best I can and getting my oldest healthy again ❤️🙏💜

  1. We are here at UF with life threatening low counts As we had such high hopes with ellie starting Rodeo this years season we are on stand by as we prepare to get her back in the saddle again Keep ellie in your prayers as it’s still a roller coaster of counts
  2. We have been down with Covid, ellie was out of school for over a week and now Maddie Everyone has been down with this nasty virus, more so me as I tried to do some work but didn’t give my body time enough to get over the virus Hard headed I am I paid for it worked one day been in bed 3 , and now Ellie heads back today for more infusions, We got a small break to let her enjoy her horses to then be right back to the hospital again!! Ellie is struggling with the everyday challenges because she can’t do the things she loves ,the barrel race was a bit rough due to the young ladies dropping the ball days before leaving me with everything they didn’t do , But I pulled it together with help from friends and family however we didn’t get the outcome we were hoping for as the shot of the long story I personally had to put up the funds needed to keep the show as well as paying for tractor drivers and insurance as well as so much more, something that was to help Ellie took us backwards but we did bring awareness to her condition and I will still push forward to doing so !! September is ITP awareness and even though we have all been sick for 2 weeks I am going to make sure I am seen and heard as if I don’t do nothing else I will find a way to making enough noise to bring it out as loud as I can !! If there is one this I am going at its being Loud and when it comes to mental health ,emotionally and physically I am going to keep pushing, keep moving forward and keep going till the noise is heard Stand up ITP is real and the daily struggle to one is more real then anything
  3. 8/31/2026 ellie was rushed to UF due to her having a coughing fit and couldn’t catch her breath Earlier that day where school called stated she was not feeling well I reached out to her doctor and he advised me to keep watch, as the night came in she laid down and Had such a bad cough it was taking her breath away, her doctor told me to rush her to er We got there at 11:30 To sit there till almost 8 am to find out her counts were back low and she tested positive for covid This had been one of many fears with her condition She and i both were in lock down for 48 hour ellie received infusions and also a second medication to hope boost her immune system She went from 9k to 51 however that really is not a good sign to her reaction to the medication, we are keeping her home for now that makes her missing school that has been a positive for her but she is still positive and I as a parent feel it best to keep her away from others That puts her home me off work and away from the rest of our family till she and I are bout out of the time frame
  4. As we come into the weekend in hopes that the IVIG treatment will bring ellie up , we are not seeing her body respond to it as it has in the past Some may look at this as a positive but as Me and her Doctor look at it as we may not be responding as she has in the past and looking into something else is coming to light We are not backing down or giving up She went from 15count to 46count (6 hours after treatment) She normally would respond over the 50k count and it’s not looking like she is responding about the safe levels to be normal We will keep this page going to keep everyone updated as I can’t thank everyone enough that has helped her small or big it’s about the awareness and support to give to her and others and out ITP Ellie and I carrying the flags last Saturday Ellie was able to be on her mare a short time to let everyone know she is not giving up and the awareness of ITP We are not backing down and I know there is a lot of you dealing with something like this or more We want you all to know we see you and you are not alone !! God bless everyone Love hugs and prayers from us — feeling emotional at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital.
