This is Cristina and Rolando writing to yall. We are organizing this GoFundMe for our 2 year old daughter Ilyana, better known as Yaya. She has been diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea (CSA). This is a rare condition that occurs when the brain does not communicate to the body that a breath needs to be taken. (This is very different than Obstructive Sleep Apnea) When this happens, Yaya's oxygen levels drop below the normal range and these episodes last from 12 seconds to 30 seconds. This condition is mostly found in infants (1 and younger) who eventually outgrow it. However, our sweet girl has not grown out of this causing it to be even more rare. 

 

Yaya has also been diagnosed with FUO (Fever of unknown origin.) She has multiple episodes of 104+ Temps with no known cause. Yaya is now being followed by Sleep Disorders, Neurology, Immune, and Rheumatoid providers. 

We have no answers and have only been told she is a mystery. 

I have been unable to work for the last 2 months and bills are now 2 months behind, August will be 3. Thankfully we have been approved for SNAP benefits so we are able to provide food for our babies. 

Please help out if possible. If not financially, we ask that you spread the word and add her to your prayer lists.
