My name is Brooks. I’m 38 years old, a wife, and a mother —and right now, I’m facing one of the most difficult and uncertain times of my life. Since January, my life has completely changed. I’ve been unable to work due to serious health issues that doctors are still trying to understand. They recently found a 2 mm mass in the frontal lobe of my brain, and we don’t yet know if it’s a tumor or something like multiple sclerosis. On top of that, I’ve been diagnosed with bradycardia, which causes my heart to beat too slowly, leaving me weak, exhausted, and unable to live the life I once could. The hardest part of all of this isn’t just the fear of the unknown—it’s watching my wife carry everything on her shoulders. She has stepped up in ways I can’t even put into words, working endlessly every day to support our family and take care of our children while I struggle just to get through each day. She is my rock, my best friend, and truly the heart of our family. Seeing her pushed to her limits while I’m unable to help the way I used to is heartbreaking. We’ve always been the kind of people who handle things on our own, who work hard and push through. Asking for help like this is not easy for me. But right now, we are overwhelmed—emotionally, physically, and financially. Medical bills are building, everyday expenses don’t stop, and the uncertainty of what comes next weighs heavily on us every single day. I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for any help you can give.
