<div>I have managed Scarlett's previous surgeries, complex therapies, and equipment needs alone since birth. However, as her medical needs have grown, the high risk of these three upcoming surgeries has reached a level of complexity and cost that I cannot manage by myself any longer.

<div>Scarlett is facing the biggest challenge of her life: two major surgeries—<strong>one on her brain for drug-resistant epilepsy, and another on her right foot to correct a painful deformity.</strong>

<div>Our immediate goal is to raise <strong>£12</strong>,<strong>000</strong> to cover the life-changing equipment, essential therapies, and basic living support that will make her recovery possible and safe.

<div>Scarlett will continue receiving all support available through the NHS and her school, <strong>but due to the complexity of her needs and the unpredictability of her recovery, she will also require additional specialised equipment and timely rehabilitation that fall outside what can be funded or provided.</strong> Many of her essential post-surgery needs involve long NHS waiting times or only basic provision, and she will need access to the correct equipment from day one of recovery to prevent medical complications and maximise her progress.

<div>Scarlett has faced complex medical challenges since birth. She requires close <strong>1:1 supervision every minute of every day</strong> - even throughout the night while she is sleeping . Simple tasks, like holding a cup or stepping off a kerb, are extremely challenging and dangerous for her.

<div>This surgery carries significant risks, including the possibility that she may need to relearn basic skills such as walking, feeding, or communicating. Simple things like stepping into a car can be agony. Her surgeon has confirmed she needs corrective surgery.
