On March 24th, our lives changed in an instant. My boyfriend was on his way to pick me up from my night shift at work when he was involved in a severe accident. Our car flipped over and was completely totaled. Beyond the emotional impact, this has left us in a very difficult financial position. We both work far from home, 5 to 6 days a week, and this vehicle was our only way to get to our jobs. Currently, almost half of our paychecks are going toward Uber rides just so we don't lose our employment. We are at a breaking point and risk losing our jobs because of this accident.
