I had the privilege of being one of the founders of this hospital, serving as the director of the operations department and a key member of the administrative nursing staff. Later, I continued my work at the Indonesian Hospital in the far north of Gaza.

Just a week ago, we had to relocate once more, this time to a rural area called Al-Zawayda. This area lacks public facilities, hospitals, and primary care, leaving us in a very precarious situation.

<div> My wife Nehad is struggling with several serious health issues: hypertension, cardiac troubles, diabetes mellitus, stomach acidity, and edema of the lower limbs due to prolonged standing while caring for our family. Her health is unstable, and she desperately needs immediate medical care, psychological support, and ongoing treatment. Before these traumatic events, she was the principal of an elementary school under the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. The constant displacement to undesirable locations has taken a heavy toll on her, causing bouts of nervous tension and deep feelings of frustration, especially after learning that our house was destroyed and burned amidst the current turmoil. She was already heartbroken from the complete destruction of our previous home during the events of 2014.

There are no more hospitals in Gaza, and the already severe famine worsens by the day, which means <strong>once the child is born, his/her chance of survival is minimal</strong>. We are running this campaign to bring Mohammed and Mona's family out of Gaza into safety, and to save the child.

Just when we thought all hope was lost, we received news that Mona was pregnant again after suffering a miscarriage only a few months before the attack due to preeclampsia and severe hypertension. News of Mona’s pregnancy was a ray of light in the darkness, a glimmer of hope that brought us back from the brink of despair. We cling to this new life growing inside Mona as a symbol of resilience and strength. But her safe delivery depends on remaining healthy and having access to medical care. The situation for women (and especially pregnant women) in Gaza is terrible, from war trauma to lack of proper parental care to getting c sections without anesthesia to the constant fear of being killed or losing a loved one. We’ve decided we need to leave Gaza to protect our coming child and help my dear wife, Mona, receive proper medical care. Because the food situation in Gaza is very desperate, Mona now is struggling with anemia, which is very dangerous to her. Despite the challenges we faced, we are determined to rebuild our lives. Our story is not limited to my wife, my yet-to-be-born child and me. My mother, who is in her 60s, struggles with diabetes and high blood pressure, and she needs surgery on her back. In addition, my brother Ahmed, who is in his 20s and also works as a dentist, lost his job due to the attack. Our workplaces have all been bombed and we urgently need to leave Gaza, which is very hard for us—but we have no other way to reclaim our professional and personal lives. With renewed determination, we set up this campaign to rebuild our lives, dreams, and aspirations. Mona, my mother, Ahmed, and I are planning to travel to Egypt, and need to pay $5000 per person to Ya Hala company to cross the border. In addition, we will need to pay for living expenses and rent once we arrive. Our love for each other has weathered the storm, and now we are awaiting the arrival of our first child. Save My Life - Urgent Medical Help Needed

This is little Mariya, the daughter of our dear friends Hristo Ivanov and Bonka Angelska. She is only five years old and has been growing up happy and healthy. In March 2021 she felt unwell suddenly and was taken to A&amp;E. Within few days, she was diagnosed with a high grade glial tumour located in the midline of the brain. The tumour is considered to be in Stage 2/3 of development. These were very sad and completely unexpected news to her parents and all those that know the family.<br /><br />Mariya’s parents forwarded the hospital reports and the results from the biopsy taken from the tumour to several hospitals in the United Kingdom, Germany, Bulgaria and Turkey so they could advise them on the possible treatment options .<br /><br />The hospital in Bulgaria could only offer treatment that may prolong Mariya’s life by about 2 years. The hospital in German refused to offer any treatment because they felt that it was too late to do anything. The only hospital that gave them hope was in Turkey- they advised that they could perform surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible and continue treatment with radio and Chemotherapy. This may cure developing cancer and significantly prolong Mariya’s life. <br /><br />The treatment at the hospital in Turkey will cost £21 000, which the family would not be able to afford immediately.
