With a heavy heart, I’m writing to honor and celebrate the life of my mother Lutica Finch williams, a woman whose love, strength, and kindness shaped everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She wasn’t just my mom—she was my safe place, my biggest supporter, and a light to so many others. My mother gave endlessly of herself. She loved deeply, laughed freely, and always found a way to put others before herself, even when life was hard. Her presence made people feel seen and cared for, and her memory will continue to live on through the love she poured into her family, friends, and community. Losing her has left an emptiness that words can’t fully describe. As we grieve, we also want to honor her life in a way that reflects the beautiful soul she was. This fundraiser is to help us give her a proper homegoing—one filled with dignity, love, and respect—so we can celebrate her life the way she deserves. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time and allow us to focus on remembering and honoring her legacy.
