</div>

<div>Hello, my name is Paula Santoro, and my family and I are raising funds to create a memorial for my father, who passed away in February 2026. My father was a man who lived a life of faith, which led him to pursue his calling, leaving his native country and settling in Mexico in 2008. There, my family and I grew up, some of us married, and we have flourished. Before arriving in Mexico, my father traveled to many countries, but above all, he dedicated himself to his beautiful country, Argentina. He traveled to every province, fulfilling his important work in every corner. This allowed him to spread his message and share his music with many people, making him a beloved figure throughout the country. When he sadly passed away, messages from our homeland and around the world poured in—so many that we are still responding and amazed by his great work in so many places. Many friends, family, and acquaintances wanted to be there during this time, but distance made it impossible to be close to those we needed most. And on a night of mourning, with our entire immediate family in Mexico, we remembered that during the last Christmas holidays my father attended, he mentioned his wish was for "all of us to go to Argentina together." This became a family goal: first, to fulfill his dream in his honor, and second, to hold a special memorial service together in his beautiful country, which he loved and missed so much in the last days of his life.
</div>
<div>It would be a great help and blessing for us to have the support of each and every one of you. The funds raised will help us cover the expenses for the entire family (12 people), including airfare, lodging, living expenses, and the memorial costs. My father was a great man who blessed many and was loved by all, so achieving this goal will also help us close a chapter that, although filled with pain, fills us with hope knowing that we will soon see him again. Thank you. With much love, the Santoro family.

Ayúdanos a llegar a Argentina - Homenaje a Eduardo Santoro

<div>My name is Fernanda, and along with my colleagues at <a href="https://www.managingmatters.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Managing Matters</a> we want to help make a difference in the lives of impoverished families in Soatá, Boyacá- Colombia. We need your help to bring Christmas joy to 150 (approx) families that live below the poverty line.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At this year’s kickoff meeting, while we were choosing and selecting initiatives, we all agreed on supporting a cause where funds go directly to families in need. One of our committee members narrated a story that motivated us to start this project. We are positive that it will generate a 100% ROI on happiness by working with local communities to distribute gifts and food baskets to these families.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>THIS IS THE STORY:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Christmas should be a happy season for all, especially for children! While in our country the majority of houses shine through the season with giant Christmas trees, gifts, lights, and children expecting Santa, in other parts of the world, children are just hoping to eat a proper meal. A few years ago, our committee member, Fernanda, was visiting her family for Christmas in the town where her family is from, Soata, Boyaca, Colombia.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s a common tradition in Colombia to have gatherings with family and the community for nine nights before Christmas eve (<em>“Novena”</em>). Fernanda and her family were invited to a gathering in one of the nearby villages, and she headed to the “Novena” with her family. There she saw so many children playing around with a smile on their faces, this is their night. They got on a makeshift stage and the light shone on them while performing their Christmas songs. At the end of the night, generous people donated gifts to the children whose families were too poor to afford them, but unfortunately, there were not enough. Many children were left empty-handed and sad that night.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fernanda promised herself that one day she would return to the village with enough gifts for everyone. This sad night was a reflection of the root problem that many children in her country face every day. They are often forced to grow up too quickly, facing challenges such as poverty, violence, and a lack of access to education and healthcare. So we're asking for your help to bring a smile to the faces of children who have faced challenges that no child their age should face.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We want to support Colombia's children and their families, especially those from Soata’s rural areas. As a grassroots project, all funds will go directly to this cause. We will help with the purchase and distribution of donations through local churches. Any amount of money is a blessing for these children and their families. Nothing is taken for granted and your generosity will bring a smile to their faces this holiday season.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why are we so passionate about this project? Through the experiences, Fernanda has shared with us we better comprehend the need and change this project can bring. With the support of these donations, we will give families hope for a better future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What we take for granted, others are praying for, and with a little bit of our help, we could impact so many families and bring a smile to their faces this upcoming Christmas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ll be posting updates, and pictures and sending videos of families receiving your generosity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>GRACIAS AMIGOS!

<div><strong>COLOMBIA:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is heavily thought that what stands out the most in Colombia are Drugs and Cartels portrayed in pop culture/cinema. But that's not what Colombia is all about, despite of being ravaged by a decades-long violent conflict involving armed groups, drug cartels, and gross violations of human rights, Colombia is frequently ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world due to its vibrant people, music, wonderful gastronomy, and diverse culture.

Let's Bring Sunshine to Colombian Children

<div>Hello, on behalf of the Meloche and Gray families, we have organised a fundraising program for Felix Gibbons and his family. As close friends, we have been helping them through a very challenging time in their lives. The Gibbons family has suffered a great deal of financial, emotional stress and trauma over the past five months as their world has been turned upside down, attempting to balance their lives with Felix battling for his life in hospital. During this time, many have reached out, asking how they can help. Now that Felix is home, this family is in great need of recovery, rest and support from those who have followed their struggles over these past five months.<br /><br /> <br />Summary of what the funds will be used for:<br /><br />1. <strong>Financial recovery</strong> - Over the past four months, the Gibbons have endured a lot of expenses as Sheena has spent the bulk of this time living in hospital. Chuck has had to use a lot of unpaid time off to balance his family's needs. They have had to hire extra child care and endured many other related expenses. Their focus has been their family, but now they need to recover from the losses.<br /><br />2. <strong>Allow Chuck to take a leave from work</strong> - Chuck has already used up considerable paid and unpaid time off. Now that Felix is home, the Gibbons need time to heal and recover. Further, Felix will still require extra care, medical visits and ongoing support. He will continue to need more time off. While they have great comfort now that Felix is healthy, they have spent months in an emotional state of crisis. The physical and emotional stress has left them tired and in need of family recovery. The greatest gift we want to give them is not money itself but to provide them with a <strong>season of rest and recovery</strong>, together in their home again.<br /><br />3. <strong>Heal emotional trauma</strong> - The Gibbons believe in working through pain and trauma and would allocate funds for ongoing support through counselling and therapy. In Ontario, these services can often range from $130-$250 per hour. The cost can be a burden for many to seek help and recovery, and we want them to have access to all tools of recovery possible.<br /><br />4. <strong>To love</strong> - This family has endured several painful and challenging situations over the past year. As friends, families and supporters, we want to Love on them. To help them take their mind off finances for a little while would be a great gift of love. Together, we can do that which will vastly aid their family's recovery.<br /><br /><br /><strong>The Story</strong>:<br />On November 27th Felix Joseph Gibbons entered this world with much joy and anticipation for Chuck, Sheena, and siblings Elora and Caden Gibbons. As some of you may know, their joy of new life was shattered when Isaac William was born without a heartbeat nearly one year prior. While overall, Felix seemed healthy, there was some concern that he was not gaining weight. Having already suffered the pain and loss of a child, the parents were overwhelmed but proceeded with great faith and anticipation they would come home with a healthy child. With caution, brightly-eyed Felix did come home, but it would be very short-lived.<br /><br />Felix continued to struggle with weight gain and would go in and out of hospital care for the coming weeks. Felix was diagnosed with "failure to thrive" and after Christmas, he was in hospital and NICU care until late March. There were many difficult days during those months. In early January, Felix continued to struggle with weight gain and started to battle several infections. This would start a month-long and very traumatic period for Felix. In early Jan, Felix was intubated and labelled "the sickest child in the ICU" by the doctors. The Gibbons were faced with the harsh reality that Felix might not recover and that they could face the loss of a second child within a year. There were several days during this time that Felix almost didn't make it home as he battled infections, septic shock and the inability to gain weight.<br /><br />Throughout these long and difficult four months, additional costs continued to pile up including daily and monthly hospital passes for multiple vehicles, additional child care expenses, fuel and maintenance costs on vehicles, food, as well as many other expenses related to the extended hospital stay and family needs.<br /><br />Some might suggest going from the sickest baby in the ICU to being released a few months later would be a miracle and I know the Gibbons would agree with that sentiment. On March 22nd, Felix did leave the hospital. It can not be left unsaid that he had a multitude of exceptional technologies and medical professionals aiding his recovery during his most challenging times. He gained health through not only modern medicine but with the many prayers and acts of faith along the way.<br /><br />When you see him now, you see a happy baby finally gaining much-needed weight, and you see a family full of gratitude that they have a healthy baby. What you don't see, which is why we are asking for some help, is a family recovering from months of trauma and stress and more mountains to climb. Because we know them well, they would not ask for help in this way, but as their friends, we know they very much need it, and we want to see them have the space to heal, recover and restore their family.<br /><br /><br />We were grateful at how many people followed this story and reached out during the preceding months; now, we get to help them rest, recover and thrive.<br /><br /> <br />Here are a few more pictures of the Felix as mentioned above: <br /><br />
