<div>Daniela Valladares Hernandez is a DACA recipient who is in danger of being deported to Honduras, a country she fled in order to survive. She’s asking for community support because her life is in danger if she’s deported. Daniela fled Honduras after facing brutal violence from government officials and members of the police. She came to the United States at six years old, alone, carrying a tiny purple backpack and wearing bright orange shorts –she wanted to feel like Dora the Explorer on an adventure. Inside that backpack were all of her childhood belongings: her Rapunzel and Swan Lake Barbie dolls.

<div>Daniela almost didn’t make it. She nearly drowned crossing the Rio Grande. When she was pulled from the water by CBP, instead of being comforted, she was handcuffed. At 6 years old, she watched her dolls fall onto the dirt losing everything she loved as the handcuffs tightened around her tiny wrists. She was placed in detention, and deportation proceedings began.

<div>From the age of six, Daniela learned quickly that survival meant she didn’t have the luxury of mistakes. She poured herself into school and work to achieve her goals. She seized every opportunity given with the intent of reaching excellence.

<div>Despite threats of ICE being called on her or being told she did not have the right to attend college because of her status by her high school counselor, Daniela graduated at the top of her high school class, with eleven honor cords. She earned the Posse Scholarship, attended George Washington University, and later transferred to Cornell University College of Industrial and Labor Relations where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations with an minor in inequality studies, while working multiple jobs.

<div><strong>After decades of “doing everything right,” her immigration case has been reopened. </strong>Her court hearing is in Georgia and her first request to appear remotely or change venue to California was denied.<strong> </strong>Daniela is terrified of being detained again, and even more terrified of being deported to a country where she has no family, no support, and where she fears that her life will be threatened. The state of Georgia denied her an opportunity and sought to swallow Daniela alive; it sought to assert a claim over her yet again. Daniela’s life is in California. She deserves to fight her case here, surrounded by the community that loves and cares for her.

Dare to Dream: Daniela, DACA Recipient Under Attack

<div>As mostly everyone knows; my little sister, Emily, unfortunately developed thyroid cancer last year at the ridiculously young age of 27. She had surgery to remove her thyroid as well as several lymph nodes. We did not expect to be right back where we started a year ago but here we are. A couple of weeks ago we got the gut-wrenching news that the cancer has returned to a few other lymph nodes and she will be having another surgery, specifically a neck dissection, in a few weeks on September 21st. Ironically that's the day before our dad's birthday. This past year has been incredibly trying for our family as our dad lost his battle to cancer just 9 months ago; just as Emily was recovering from her cancer scare and treatment. It seems we're still not out of the darkest part of our lives but there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel. Asking for help is such a difficult decision to come to and even more so when we just went through all of this less than a year ago. Incredibly, we received the overwhelming generosity of family, friends, and even complete strangers. We are again asking whoever reads this to help Emily get through these next few months as she will yet again have to miss significant amounts of work and already the bills are piling up. Swifties raise money to save kids from Malaria

<div>Hello my name is Coach Kimbbie. I am the Head Coach at Sacramento High School. The football team and nonprofit organization Ceaze the Moment are teaming up and asking for help to upgrade our school’s football field and looker room. Sac High is the only school in the district without a turf field. Because of this before each game the football staff and players paint the field themselves. Home games are often cancelled/rescheduled during the rainy season because the field is flooded with water. The locker room is also in need of an upgrade. Benches need to be repaired/replaced, bigger lockers are needed and windows need to be installed. Please do not hesitate to help us turn this dream into reality. <p><strong>UPDATE: WE ARE RAISING MORE MONEY TO ALLOW THE PLANES TO KEEP DOING MORE TURNS.</strong><br /><br />We are coming to you in desperation to conduct an <strong>emergency flight rescue</strong> of 300+ Afghan souls. I have been working alongside humanitarian aid groups, decorated military veterans, and activists on the ground in Kabul, fighting to save people who otherwise have no chance at survival in the Taliban-occupied Kabul.<br /><br />The individuals in question are high-value targets - Afghan men and women who have worked as human rights lawyers, champions of Women’s and LGBTQ rights, journalists, government liaisons, artists, and interpreters - all of whom are at <strong>imminent risk of being executed by the Taliban,</strong> along with their families. We will be taking full family units.<br /><br />If these people do not get rescued as soon as possible, neither they nor their family will make it through the month. The Taliban have a KILL LIST and are going door to door, searching for these people and reportedly <strong>killing them on sight if found</strong>. Every one of these individuals on the manifest have been vetted.<br /><br />Due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kabul, this rescue mission will only be possible if $550,000 is raised to fuel 2 airplanes to fly into Kabul from a foreign country.  <strong>If we raise twice the amount ($1,100,000), we’ll do another run. There are enough people in need to make many round-trips with our two airplanes. We will continue multiplying as goals are met. </strong><br /><br />With help from people on the ground in Kabul, and the newfound security of the airport due to increased US presence — we have arranged for a <strong>safe onboarding process</strong>. All of the people who will be boarding the planes have been extensively vetted.<br /><br /><strong>Every $1,500 raised represents a seat on one of the planes, and a life saved.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Please share wide and far, as hundreds of lives are at stake.</strong><br /><br /><strong>FUNDING</strong><br /><br />The money will be paid to and distributed from Raven Advisory, LLC, based in NC.<br /><br />Any overages in funds raised beyond flights will be donated to the International Women’s Media Foundation, who are actively helping with this rescue effort + settlement, to help the people we rescue start a new life. <br /><br />Destinations have been secured to allow our planes safe passage + landing, and locations cannot be disclosed until the flights have arrived safely. FLYAWAY: EMERGENCY AFGHAN RESCUE MISSION

<p>As much as I absolutely hate to ever ask for help it is definitely needed now. Alexzander is not doing well at all, he is very very sick. He needs both of his parents by his side. I need Big Alex to be with me , this is very hard on us as a family. Never did I ever think anything like this would happen to our poor baby. He is fighting and fighting hard for his life.  Alex is our only source of income and with him going to be missing work to be with us makes it hard and challenging for that to happen. His condition is slowly improving but he is not out of the woods yet and is facing a long road ahead. The doctors/nurses say when they lower his sedation that he’s moving around WAY more than they expected him to and keeps trying to pull the tubes out. Their words were “he does get a little wild” and if you know Miguel, you know that’s exactly who he is. He wants to go home guys, and be with his girl and his son. His other half, Lilly, who he’s been with since they were 16 is doing her best to stay strong for not only them, but their son Jasper as well. she is trying so hard to keep one foot in front of the other and just take one day at a time. Any funds raised will go toward the inevitable medical bills to come and help support Lilly and Jasper along the way. Not only are they suffering through this tragedy, but it’s smack dab in the middle of this pandemic too. Not being able to be by Miguel’s side is incredibly difficult for his family and we are so grateful for any support you can provide. Even if it’s to take the time to just share this story with others. If you have the ability, please give anything you can to help this sweet young family get through this tragedy with less stress about the bills and more focus on getting Miguel HOME.
