A Safe Place for Healing

May God bless you for being here. My name is Destiny Bethune and I am raising funds for my nonprofit organization A Safe Place for Healing— which aims to help at risk youth and formerly incarcerated individuals build a sustainable life and break the cycle through education, entrepreneurial development and training, job placement, skill training, and holistic and spiritual healing. I’ve been working on something new, something impactful—something I believe can make a real difference. As a former Sheriff’s Deputy with experience in criminal justice, I’ve seen firsthand the cycles of trauma, homelessness, and incarceration. That perspective has fueled my passion and determination to help formerly incarcerated individuals and at-risk youth rebuild their lives. That’s why I recently founded “A Safe Place for Healing”—a place where everyone deserves a second chance and where true healing begins in a safe, supportive environment. Right now, we are raising funds to secure a dedicated space—a building where we can host our Life School sessions, healing workshops, and support groups. This space is vital because it offers a tangible, safe environment for individuals to learn, grow, and break free from the cycles that often lead back into incarceration or homelessness. Exciting news: We’ve just received our first two partnerships with a homeless shelter in Killeen, and a company that will house our clients who are excited to start their course! March 2, 2026 The building attached below is only 2 minutes away from the homeless shelter, which is PERFECT due to the lack of resources. Our courses will equip them to find jobs, start their own businesses, and rebuild their lives mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally on solid foundation. Our mission is to guide these individuals toward independence and purpose, helping them leave behind the places and circumstances they want to escape. Your support can help us buy, rent, or renovate this space, so we can serve more people and truly make a lasting impact.
